Plan A

When Avery woke up, she smiled as she felt the warmth of the morning sun pour through the window and onto her skin. She looked down and saw that the others were already awake, waiting for her,
"About time you woke up."
Tao joked, causing a smile to pull across Avery's face,
"Sorry to keep all of you waiting. Let's go get something to eat, yeah?"
She said as they followed her out of her room and down the hall to the kitchen, where Envy and Greed were taunting Ed,
"So tell her."
"Unless you're scared."
"I'm not scared!"
Ed protested, glancing toward the entryway to see Avery enter,
"G-Good morning Avery."
Ed stuttered out, eliciting chuckles from Envy and Greed,
"Good morning, Ed. Do you mind if I sit down?"
He shook his head and moved so she could sit down, Kai moving forward to pull her chair out for her and pushing it back in, earning glares from the other vampires and werewolves in the room,
"So what do you want to tell Rose?"
Greed asked bluntly,
"Well... one of us has to go in to infiltrate, and I think I know who it has to be."
Avery said slowly,
"Who?"
Luhan asked. Avery stayed silent,
"Who, Avery?"
Kris asked. Before Avery could answer, Rose entered the kitchen,
"Good morning, Rose."
Avery said sweetly, giving her friend a hug and asking if she was hungry,
"Not right now. I want to talk about how we're going to get Hunter back."
Avery squeezed her shoulder gently before sitting down next to her at the table,
"We've been talking about it for a little bit. We thought it would be best to have either Greed or Envy sneak one of us in."
Rose nodded,
"Okay. Who do you want to sneak in? Me?"
Greed shook his head,
"I don't think that's a good idea. Father might jump on the opportunity to put the stone in you."
"Then who are we sending in?"
"Me."
Avery said quietly. Kai and Kris were the first to voice their anger,
"What? Avery you can't!"
"Kai is right. It's too dangerous. I'm not letting you in there."
"You could die!"
Baekhyun spoke up, anger flowing from his words,
"Avery, that's really dangerous."
Ed said softly,
"Well Rose can't do it! Look if I go in he won't put the stone in me. Plus I'm a thief. A very good one. If I can escape a prison I can escape Father. Have a little faith in my ability."
Avery said, agitation present in her voice. The others backed down slightly, but they didn't look like they've given up,
"So who is going to lead Avery down there?"
Greed backed up slightly,
"It can't be me. Father and I don't exactly get along well."
Avery looked at Envy,
"Looks like you have to do it."
He nodded,
"Yes... yes it does."
"You do know how to get in, right?"
Baekhyun asked insultingly. Envy scoffed,
"Please. Of course I do. I'll get Avery in and out. I'm not sure what you hope to accomplish in there though."
"Well, I have an idea on what I can do with Hunter. I highly doubt I'll be able to make him remember the second we see each other, but I might be able to get him back here."
"How?"
Rose asked as everyone else leaned forward in interest,
"I have my ways. I just have to get close enough or get him alone. That's where I'll need Envy's help. You need to either distract him or get him alone."
Avery said, turning to Envy,
"Can you do that?"
He nodded,
"Probably."
"Alright. Now if you'll excuse me I have things I need to prepare if I'm going to do this right."
And with that she swiftly stood up and left the room, Kai and the others following close behind, leaving only Rose, Ed, Greed, and Envy alone in the small kitchen,
"What are you thinkin?!"
Baekhyun yelled when they got back to her room,
"Rose can't do it. I'm the only one who can. I'm going and that's the end of it."
Avery said sharply,
"You could die!"
Chen argued, trying to impress upon Avery how concerned he and the others are,
"You think I don't know that? I don't fear death, but that doesn't mean I'll be reckless."
Avery walked over to them and have them a reassuring smile,
"I promise I'll come back in one piece."
She said softly, hoping they would stop trying to keep her from going,
"Avery!"
Ed said urgently, gaining the young thief's attention,
"Yes?"
"I need to speak with you. Alone. Now."
He said seriously. Avery told the others to wait outside while she and Ed talked about whatever urgent matter he had,
"What is it?"
"I need to tell you something about Envy."
"Okay."
Avery said cautiously, confused on Ed's solemn and serious aura. The next thing he said shocked her, but proved that deep down, her suspicions about the green haired homunculus had been correct,
"I think he's going to betray us."
