chapter 18

annikas pov.

"ugh!" i groan and run my hand through my hair for the hundredth time.

its currently Friday - 5pm - and i cant find a single thing in my closet to wear. i still need to shower, do my makeup and get dressed.

i pull out my phone and dial maggies number.

"sup?" she says after it rings one time

"i need your help to find an outfit for me and Jakes date. now."

"on my way" she says before hanging up

i let out a breath of relief and go into my bathroom to take a shower before she gets here.

after my shower i dry my body before putting my hair in the towel and putting on undergarments then a robe.

i walk into my room to see maggie already going through my closet and pulling things out.

"hey" i say and she turns around

"ayee" she says and turns back to my closet

"some of your cloths are so cute hit me up" she says and i giggle

"oh my god this is so cute!" she says pulling out a dress out of my closet

"i havent seen this is forever!" i say grabbing it from her.

"but its pretty tight...." i say glancing over at her

"exactly!" she exclaims and i roll my eyes but smile

"okay okay ill wear it" i say laying it on my bed "but first..makeup and hair" i say and she jumps up and down clapping like a child 

"lemme do it!" she exclaims

"dont mess up my face" i joke and she just rolls her eyes at me.

"all done" she says grinning at me widely and bringing my hand mirror to my face so i can see

"wow" i breath when i see what shes done

my makeup is slightly natural with thick eyeliner wings that made my blue eyes pop, thick mascara, and dark pink lipstick.

my light brown hair was beautifully wavy. i honestly loved everything she did.

"thank you so much!" i exclaim throwing my arms around her neck.

"your welcome! now come on you've gotta get dressed. " she says pulling away and handing me my dress and pushing me into my bathroom.

i pull the dress down my body (dress above) and sigh before opening the door. maggies head snaps up from her phone and she gives me 2 thumbs up.

i smile in return and grab my phone then run down the stairs. i check the time and sigh in relief when its 6:55.

i grab a glass and fill it up with water and try my hardest not to get any lipstick on the glass as i chug down the water.

i almost drop my glass when i hear the doorbell ring. i quickly compose myself and set the glass down.

when i open the door Jakes mouth a opens a little and i chuckle. i gently pit my fingertips on the bottum of his chin and close his moulth and he blinks at me. i gently smile and he smirks in return

"damn" he says looking me up and down causing me to blush furiously

"lets go" he finally says leading me to the car

"sooo where are we going?" i say once he starts the car

"its a surprise" he responds and i groan

"pleaaassseeee tell meeeee" i whine and he chuckles at my childish behavior

"nope" he says popping the 'p' causing me to groan again and him to smirk

i look over at him and check out his features from the side. his jawline ugh.

"stop staring its creepy" he says after about 20 seconds causing be to blush and look down at my lap

"were here" he finally says and i look up

"fiiiiiinally" i say and he smiles at me

i look outside and furrow my eyebrows in confusion where are we?

were in a parking lot and its kinda hard to see since its almost already dark out. theres cars all around and thats it.

suddenly i see a huge screen light up in front of the car and i squeal in excitement.

he took to to a drive in movie.

the reason he took her to a drive in is bc that would be like the perfect first date i mean whos with me?
