chapter 23

Annika's pov.

me and Maggie we're currently sitting in an old, cute coffee shop downtown which was closing in about 5 minutes.

"so Maggie" I say and she looks up and smiles at me "me and Jake are dating now" I say and her eyes grow wide.

"OMG FINALLY!!" she says tackling me with a hug.

"can't. breath." I say chocking for air.

when she finally lets go I gasp for breath and she sits back down looking smug with herself.

"sometimes..." I say still trying to catch my breath "your so annoying" continues and she chuckles "but I love you anyways you hoe." I finish and she grins at me then goes on her phone.

To: Jake - hi

I text Jake because apparently Maggie over there has better things to do than hangout with me.

From: Jake - hey babe

My heart flutters and I grin like a kid on Christmas at my phone.

To: Jake - I'm bored.

From: Jake - hi bored, I'm Jake.

I roll my eyes at his joke and decide to snapchat him instead of text because snapchat is better. (me af)

I snapchat Jake a picture of my shoulder and caption it  'Wyd'

he sends back a blurred picture with the caption '@ home. and what are YOU doing ?'

I sent back a picture of Maggie who was still glued to her phone. 'being dissed.' I caption it and lock my phone then yawn. (I literally yawned while writing this wtf)

"We should go." I tell Maggie and she grumbles something I can't understand back to me.

"MAGGIE" I yell and she snaps her head up

"come on we're leaving. They're closing soon anyways." I say leaving a 5 dollar bill at the table.

she finally heaves herself out of her chair looking quite unpleasant because I took her away from her true love, her phone.

when we get home Maggie is out like a light, ruining most of my plans for the night.

I look at her sprawled out on my bed not to mention, taking up most of the space.

I strip off the dress and put it in my dirty laundry, then put on some shorts, long fuzzy socks and a t-shirt.

Maggie snored and I looked over at her. her mouth was hanging open and her arms and legs were all over the bed.

I chuckled and moved her body so she was on one side of the bed, and so she was under the covers. 

I set an alarm on my phone and then scrolled through Instagram until I fell asleep with my phone in my hands.

the obnoxious noise of my beeping alarm right next to my ear woke me up. I groaned and then twisted around in bed before actually turning the alarm off and shaking Maggie awake which let me tell you, took FOREVER.

we got ready and procrastinated the whole morning (as usual) so we ended up having to run out the door to actually get to school.

I walked up to my locker and put in the combo, still feeling like a god damn zombie.

I literally pray that Jake will not see me like this.
p r a y

"hey" a deep voice says behind me.

great. My prayers have been answered. They have been fucking answered. Praise God Jesus in fucking heaven. Now I want to kill someone.

"Hi" I say not facing him and continuing to get my books.

when I'm finished, I slam my locker and spin around to face Jake. he stands there looking gorgeous and smirking down at me.

I smile back up at him because he makes me genuinely happy.

"leggo." he says wrapping an arm around my waist and leading me to my first hour. I look down and blush. this boy.

"So I'll see you at lunch?" Jake says when we reach my first hour.

"Yep." I say and smile up at him

then he leans down and places a small kiss on my lips.

"see ya!" he says and I stand there looking like a lost puppy

I could get used to this.
