Original POV

I felt a gust of wind hit my, whipping my hair around my face, causing me to turn to my brothers who pointed to their wrist indicating the time. I glanced at the sky and saw the sun was going down, my date with Matt is soon.

I nodded to them and jumped into the cover of the trees, leaping from branch to branch before landing on the ground running straight for the house. I got there second later and liked the fact that the Salvatore house was not to far from our own. Shaking my head I head for the door and entered, only to have Lisa pop up and drag me straight into my room and proceed with shoving me in the shower.

I undressed and took a quick shower making sure my legs and underarms were shaved and smooth, and my body smelling of my favorite body wash scent, watermelon strawberry splash. I wrapped myself in a warm fluffy white towel and quickly used air to blow dry my hair - if you haven’t guessed by now I can manipulate the elements, I hardly use it but when I do its for little stuff like this.

I left my bathroom and entered my bedroom to find Lisa holding up some black heels in one hand and a pair of my black converse with wedges. On my bed lay my outfit, a off white cream wrap top with a black draped cardigan so I don’t show off too much skin for the first date and a pair of high rise black skinny jeans.

I dressed quickly before Lisa grabbed my hand and sat me down in front of my vanity so she could start on my hair. She decided to curl it and leave it done, simple yet perfect as she made my hair fall in perfect curls around my face. She moved on to make up when she finished with the last strip of hair, going with a smoky look around my eyes, some light blush on my cheeks, and some lip gloss on my natural red-pink lips.

I slipped my phone, keys and some cash into my pockets opting out for carrying a clutch around. I went downstairs with Lisa as we talked to my brothers while we waited a half an hour before I was due to meet Matt at the grill. I wasn’t ready to give him my address so I told him I would meet him at the grill. When it was time to go Demetri dropped me off before telling me to make sure to call him so he could pick me up.

I promised before getting out of the passenger side and standing near the grill’s entrance, I waited….and waited. I took out my phone and saw he was half an hour late, and it was getting cold. Deciding to wait a while longer since I didn’t have his phone number - something I forgot to ask for - and went inside the grill ordering a coke before sitting down. An hour later I was starving and worried, Matt didn’t seem like the type of guy to stand someone up, ordering food I waited a while longer.

An hour later I was still in the booth, out of excuses for him, an empty plate that had held fries and a burger which I had long ago eaten. Asking for the bill I paid for my food and left the grill, I stood outside slightly angered and hurt, as I took out my phone and called Erik. I knew he would leave me to my thoughts rather then pester me with news of our date, I was only worried about how my brothers would act once they found out I was stood up. I waited five minutes before Erik pulled up in my Volvo, I climbed in and told him to drive as I put on my seatbelt. I stared out the window the whole time as I tried to hold the tears at bay. I glanced at the side window and saw Matt run out of a car and into the Grill, I guess he was fine enough to show up three hours later.

I ignored Erik’s questioning gaze as I opened the door climbing out of the car before slamming the door shut my anger slipping out. I walked to the front door ignoring Erik’s questions as he asked me what was wrong. I felt all the anger and hurt I built up as I waited for Matt for three hours build up making me turn around and shout at Erik, “I was stood up okay! I waited for three hours and he never showed up so leave me alone!” I said snapping at Erik before running to my room slamming and locking my door behind me.

I grabbed a backpack from my closet and filled it up with some clothes and shoes, I slipped in my favorite brush, my phone, Mac laptop and ipod charger. I changed out my clothes and into a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a white tank top and a black off the shoulder sweater, swapping my wedges for regular converse. I grabbed my laptop case with my laptop inside and ran out making sure my credit cards were in my wallet before running for the garage, ignoring my brothers curious stares I grabbed the keys to my 2011 mustang and drove off.

I turned my phone on silent, and connected my ipod before blasting some music through my car speakers. Sing along to Beyonce’s ‘Irreplaceable’, I drove towards California until I hit Malibu, heading for my beach house. Parking in the drive way I noticed a Range Rover and some cars in the house next door, someone must have moved in during the summer because the house was for sale the last time I was here.

I grabbed the key from the live in maid I had called on my way over, she takes care of the house when I’m not there, she and her family - my driver and her son my cook - all live in the guest house next to the main house. I walked in and placed my bags inside my room, I set my phone and ipod to charge before grabbing the house phone to call my brothers and let them know I’m okay.

“Angelina, are you okay?! Your brothers are pissed and threaten to kill Matt, what happened?” Lisa said worried, my brothers voices in the background expressing their concern.

“I’m fine, he never showed up but I think he must have a reason. I’m in LA, I need some time to myself before I come back, I’m sorry I won’t be there after you just got there. But I’ll be home in two or three days” I said to Lisa worried she would hate me for leaving her there after she made her way there for all of us.

“Its fine, you take all of the time you need. I’ll make sure your brothers don’t hurt Matt until he gives you an explanation, I’m so sorry” Lisa said.

“Thanks, Lisa for understanding and everything. Tell my brothers I’ll be back home soon and that no physical damage should come to Matt” I said to her sternly. I may be angry and hurt that he never showed up, but that doesn’t mean I want my brothers to beat him to a bloody pulp.

“No problem, take care okay” she said simply, knowing I didn’t want to chat long after what happened.

“Bye Lisa” I said hanging up before she could answer. Sighing loudly I went to the bathroom to wash off the make up on my face after throwing my hair into a messy bun. I grabbed my phone and wallet and locked the door behind me deciding to go for a walk, some fresh air would do me great.

I walked a couple of blocks before I decided to sit down on the soft sandy beach as the sun began to set. The sky painted a beautiful scene with the array of colors ranging from orange and purple to pink and yellow. I smiled and laid back watching the colors shift and change as the sun moved further down allowing the moon to take its place in the sky.

I got up and dusted off my jeans and started walking back home. I went inside my quiet beach home and turned on the lights, I turned on the TV and left it on one my favorite movies, Back to the Future. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a bag of blood in the locked secret compartment in the fridge that can only opened by my finger print, and poured it in a glass.

I also grabbed a banana and a can of peaches taking it with me to the living room as I prepared for my Harry Potter movie marathon to begin. At around midnight I decided to get some rest and turned off everything before heading up to my room for some sleep.
