Mentally Unprepared for School

I packed up all of my things that I had brought with me and hopped back into my car before starting the long drive back to Mystic Falls. I texted my brothers that I was on my way back into town and to make sure they let the school know I wouldn't be able to start school today but the next day. My brothers blew up my phone asking where I had gone and if I was okay to come back. I text them all back before tossing my phone into the passenger seat and throwing on my sunglasses and blasted the radio.

It took me a couple of hours before I saw the Welcome to Mystic Falls sign as I drove into town, it was already sundown when I finally pulled up into the driveway. I parked the car and just sat their as I saw the lights on in the house as my brothers were home. I sighed to myself before getting out of the car and grabbing my bags from the trunk, i took my time getting to the front door before fishing for my keys. The door opened on its own before I was pulled into a tight rib-crushing embrace as Erik held me tight as he adamantly said I wasn't allowed too just take off on my own without letting him know where I was going. I decided to keep my mouth shut as I mentally pointed out that we often spent decades apart without knowing knowing where the other is in the world.

"I can kill him if you want" Erik said before letting me go grabbing some of my bags before taking them to my room as the rest of my brothers took a turn hugging me as they reassured themselves that I was fine. Tch, I've lived for centuries a little heartbreak isn't going to kill me, make me depressed for a bit yeah but not kill me.

"I'm fine, but I haven't fed in a while is there any Type O laying around?" I asked as I took off my jacket and hung it up before heading towards the basement to dig through the freezer where we keep the blood.

"I think we should have a couple of bags left, I'll have to restock again soon though, Liam's been sucking us dry of AB positive" Ivan said chuckling as he dug through the freezer pulling out a bag of my favorite blood type tossing it to me before make a note of it on his phone to restock.

"Not my fault, school is too much of a temptation of not have to filled up before going. Would you rather I slip and hurt a poor innocent student?" Liam said smirking as he and Alessandro chuckle.

"Don't be a smart ass" I said smacking them behind the head before turning to Thantos, "I've decided to enroll in school as well, I think I can pull off being a senior, as for Erik we can just say he graduated earlier then me and is taking a break this year before going to "college"" I said as I poured the blood into a cup before drinking it as I walked back upstairs.

"Will you be okay going to school? Matt and his friends are seniors as well aren't they?" Thantos asked as he followed behind me as he ushered the others upstairs out of the basement.

"I'll be fine, Matt and I were never that serious anyway, we never got to that point so I'll be fine. I'll just avoid him if it gets hard" I said waving my hand over my shoulder as I sat down on the couch.

"True besides we'll be there too so we'll keep an eye out as well" Alessandro said pointing his thumbs at himself and Liam.

"Maybe I should enroll in school as well, at lot of the interesting stuff seems to happen there anyway" Erik mused as he sat beside me stealing a sip from my cup before handing it back to me before I could smack him.

"That would probably be best, I'll call the school tomorrow and enroll you as seniors. You will probably have to go early with me to the school tomorrow though" Thantos said as he sat down opening his laptops to get some forged school documents from our "old school". He started typing away as he made sure we had all the proper documentation to enroll, texting back and forth with our paid lawyer and government official on the inside of the Education board. Thantos has contacts in everything to make sure we are never have to worry about the government catching onto us.

I finished my glass of Type O and washed the cup before squeezing onto the couch in between Erik and Liam as they turned on the TV. We ended up watching two movies before Thantos insisted we all trying and catch a couple ours of sleep before morning comes. I agreed as I had to mentally prepare myself before jumping back into the world of teenagers and high school.

>Time Skip to the next day<

I woke up the next day at around six in the morning and decided to get ready for the day, I grabbed my towel and my bag of toiletries from my duffel bag that Erik brought to my room last night and my bath robe as went into my en-suite bathroom. I made sure to shave and through wash my hair with to coats of conditioner leaving it silky and shiny before putting in my hair rollers to curl my hair. (Big curls like in the picture above but blood red all the way instead of ombre ^)

I grabbed a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a off the shoulder red shirt and a cropped black leather jacket over it with a pair of high top black converse and some natural toned make up to go with my outfit. I grabbed a spare black Jansport backpack from my clothes and put in a bunch of empty notebooks, a binder and a small pencil pouch with lead pencils, extra lead, pens and highlighters before zipping it closed and tossing onto my desk chair.

I went to the bathroom and carefully pulled all of the curlers out of my hair to let it fall tumbling down my back before ending mid back. I added some hairspray to make sure the curls would stay for most of the day before brushing my teeth and spritzing myself with my favorite body spray and make sure to put on some deodorant before grabbing my phone and earphones with my backpack; making sure I lock my door behind me.

I meet a half asleep Erik and a wide awake Thantos whose sipping coffee as he types of his laptop. Its impressive how he can type with one hand, drink coffee with the other and yell upstairs for Alessandro and Liam to wake up for school. I quick glance at the clock told me it was six forty in the morning before I pour myself some orange juice and pop some toast in the toaster for myself. I run upstairs real quick and rudely awaken my lazy brothers so they aren't late for school seeing its barely their second day as they had started school yesterday.

Alessandro and Liam take their sweet time coming downstairs as Ivan starts making some breakfast for anyone hungry. "Are you ready for school?" he asks as he whips up some eggs and toast for everyone before sitting down himself with a mug of coffee.

"I'm ready, mentally though is a whole other story" I sighed as I grabbed my folder of paperwork from Thantos who handed them to me and Erik for registration. He would be driving us to school since he had to come with us, he had already called the school to let them now and they were expecting us at around seven twenty to fill out the paperwork.

"I'm starting to regret my decision if I have to wake up this early every week day" Erik mumbled as he quietly ate his toast before yawning. I smirked knowing he stayed up late to watch some movies on his laptop, I could hear his headphones through the walls next door and knew the others could too from the exasperated look on Ivan's face as he rolled his eyes.

"Let's get a move on, I plan on stopping by the police station after I drop you guys off at school, Kat's right we should really have some eyes and ears in the police force and since Erik's attending school now the task falls to me as Ivan and Demitri still have to find work" Thantos said as he grabbed his suitcase after putting his laptop away. Hmm... that must of been what he was doing, falsifying his background so there were no holes when he applied into the task force.

I grabbed my stuff and stole a piece of toast from Ivan's plate as he waved goodbye before continuing his breakfast, Erik and I rode with Thantos while Alessandro and Liam went in Alex' car. (Reminader: Alessandro will be shortened into Alex and Lazarus into Liam for a more modern take on their names, although I have been calling Lazarus Liam for a while now, I might go back and change it)

The ride to school was a bit nerve wrecking but I knew it wouldn't be a problem, but please Gods let me not have Matt for any of my classes!

I feel so bad but having not updated in such a long time but I'm not gonna lie or sugarcoat it.....I totally forgot I had this story up on here. Since I have more time on my hands and a new laptop I will try to start re-uploading again. If you read my other stories I have also posted a new chapter for An Abandoned Imprint as well, I'll try uploading a new chapter some time next week. So sorry again pls comment if you would like me to continue on with this story!
