In the cafeteria, it was silent. An eerie silence, as if everyone was awaiting something.

All eyes fell on Link as he walked through the double doors with a peculiar object on his wrist. He walked over to Dark Pit and sat across from him. Everyone rises from their seats to crowd the two. They whispered words of encouragement. News reached all those who were sick of Pit and Palutena's reign.

In the hall Link and Dark Pit settled on their plan. Dark Pit kept posted on a wall. A pair of familiar footsteps came walking down the hall. All Link had to do was act as if he'd walk past the Angel and jump him to hold him down.

Link started to walk. The Angel rolled his eyes at the sight of the elven male. Once Link and Dark Pit were adjacent to the target the plan was beginning.

Dark Pit shoved Pit into Link's arms. Link held Pit tightly and wrestled him to the ground. Pit screamed and kicked. "Let me go! Stupid human!" Luckily Link had a lot of experience with sumo wrestling and talking down goats back home. Pit was no exception and went down with mild ease. Link held Pit's arms on each side of his head. He also straddled the Angel so he'd stop kicking. "Dark Pit now!" The mirror clone snatched the wreath from his head and snapped it. They awaited a reaction.

Pit was wide eyed and enraged, "Traitor! You stupid mirror bi-product!" His eyes shifted to Link, "And you! You set this up! Get offa me you good for nothing boy!" Link's eyes flicked from Dark Pit's scared red and Pit's angry blue. Emotions swelled up in his chest and started to fill his vision. He attempted to blink them away long enough to get a sentence in. He shifted Pit's wrists to be held by a single hand. He forced the good luck charm Pit had given him into his face, "Pit! Goddamn it will you just look! Why don't you just love me again!? This isn't the Pit I knew! She's controlling you! You let her in hour head, the woman you hated most!" Link's tears broke free and ran down his face. He was now shaking, "I don't...see what I...did to make you...hate me..." He choked on his own sobs.

A crowed formed around the three. Everyone was attentive to what the angel had to say.

Link's tears started to fall onto the other's face. One tear in particular landed on the bridge of the angel's nose and flowed into his blue eyes. Pit's stare softened. Tears started to swell in his eyes as well. His wrists hurt and so did his hips, as Link was confining him. "L-Link, it hurts. My hands hurt. Why are you doing this?" His voice was hoarse and less aggressive. Chills ran up Link's spine. This was his Pit, no doubt about it.

He released the Angel's hands. Pit sobbed, "Link! What happened?" Pit pulled the hero for a hug. "Palutena took over your mind. Are you okay?" Pit whimpered, "S-so lonely. It was cold. Th-that's all I remember."

Everyone cheered. The threat of Pit was gone. The halls were soon empty. Except for Link, Pit, Dark Pit and Robin. "Pittoo we should give them their space," he pulled the copy away. Link helped Pit up and hoisted him up into his arms. Pit's arms remained around Link's neck. "Did I do anything stupid? I'm sorry..." Link kissed his shoulder, "Are we getting back together then?" Pit wiped a tear from his own eye, "I broke up with you? Of course I never meant it. I love you!"

Link pressed his lips to Pit's and sighed, "I missed you so much." Pit's wings fluttered with joy, "I missed you too." Link placed him down to stand on his own. Pit walked over to his broken laurel wreath and placed the pieces together on each side of his head. He held them in place and spoke aloud, "It's over Palutena. I'm not your puppet anymore. Link and I are going to stop you and your reign of terror."

Pit threw the pieces down and turned to Link, "She won't be getting away with this anytime soon!" Link nodded. They parted ways to gather their weapons.

"Link! Link!" Robin cried as he ran up to the hero. "What is it?" Link placed a hand on his shoulder. "D-dark Pit was dragged into Pit's room by Palutena! She just snatched him and dragged him inside."

Link quickly picked up his weapons. Taking his satchel, sword, and shield. They ran to Pit's room, no doubt both Angels were inside. "Robin, you go evacuate the others! I don't know what Palutena might do!" Robin nodded and ran to spread the news.

Link looked down at the Triforce of courage. Funny how he still needed to believe he actually had that courage in desperate times. He turned the knob, locked. He raised his foot to kick down the door.
