Two weeks until the season's end. Pit sat in the arena bleachers watching Toon Link take on Snake. Everyone was busy with training to stop and sit so the only other ones in the bleachers were Olimar and Sonic.

"Hello my love," Link walked up to the sitting angel. "Heya hero," Pit stood up to give the blond a peck on the lips. "Would you do me the honor of joining me at the plaza for a date," the blond asked. Pit blushed and nodded, "Oh of course." Pit gave the fighters a thumbs up before being whisked away by the hero.

Both boys changed into casual clothing for their afternoon out. Link's outfit consists of blue jeans, a grey T-shirt, a green flannel, and a brown beanie. Pit wore a white racer back and light blue pants where the legs ended just above the ankle. Link held his hand as they went to the plaza.

Smash Plaza was a small getaway for smashers. Here they could hang out, shop, work, and (in Link and Pit's case) go on dates. There were restaurants, cinemas, and shops.

Over time Link had learned of Pit's excitement for sweets. Link pulled Pit over to an ice cream parlor. Both boys ordered their favorite ice creams and sat near a window. Pit had ordered Mint Chip and Link enjoyed his Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

"Such a shame we have to leave.," Link sighed. Pit stirred the ice cream in thought, "We have two more weeks at least. It's something." There was a silence. Link plopped a spoonful in his mouth and swallowed, "We will meet next year. I'll try my best to ensure we meet again." Pit smiled at the pledge. They continued to eat their treat with little conversations and giggles.

Link escorted Pit into the cinema. They sat in their seats to settle down. The two shared snacks and little hand holding moments.

When the movie ended it was dark out. Link looked up at the night sky just outside the cinema. "Let's go back," Link took Pit's hand in his own and started to walk. Pit leaned into the blond, "I really enjoyed this, spending time with you." Link stopped and pulled the angel for a tight hug.

Pit held the hero tight. Link sighed and kissed the top of his boyfriend's head.

The next two weeks went in a flash. Everyone packed and sat by their luggage.

Pit sat on his suitcase in the lobby. He didn't want to leave. He'd go back and be confined in an immortal prison. His friends were all here. They were all his friends, no matter how much Palutena may disapprove.

Speaking of which, what would he tell her when he got back? "Hey I'm back! Made a human boyfriend while I was gone!" He didn't have a death wish! He wouldn't be lying if he said he'd kicked some human butt.

"Not forgetting anything are you? Your tunics? Hats? Boomerangs?" Zelda spoke as she walked in. Link walked behind her with a brown backpack and a blue rolling suitcase, "No I didn't. Thanks mom..." Link smirked as she rolled her eyes. Pit looked up at his boyfriend and smiled a sad smile. Link smiled just as sadly and dropped his bags.

Link ran to the angel and kneeled before him. "Now, now. Love don't look so down," he cooed. Pit started to tear up, "But I'm going to miss you. How will a long distance relationship work?" Link tucked a strand of cocoa brown hair behind the angel's rounded ear, "It's us. We won't break apart just because of a little separation." The tears fell from the brunet's blue eyes. Link pulled him into a hug. "We'll always be together...I promise."

Pit held onto the hero for dear life. As if he'd let go and Link would disappear forever. Pit didn't want to cry, but he couldn't stop now, "I love you so much..."

Link gasped softly. Never have they used the word "love". He smiled at the fact the angel felt so compelled to use such a strong word. Link kissed his tear stained cheek, "I love you more..."

Link released the angel as tears were wiped. Link reached into the satchel that sat on his side. He took out a necklace. The pendant was a light green and had a gold trim. Link put it into Pit's hands, "It's my good luck charm. I want you to have it as a promise that we'll be together when you return." Pit smiled and tied it around his neck. "Now I feel I should give you this," Pit reached into his luggage. Inside was a bracelet with a blue gem on it. "This is my good luck charm." Link smiled as it was handed to him.

"Come on Link! We've got to get home before Ganondorf does!" Zelda called. Link nodded and turned back to Pit. Pit smiled and pulled the hero down for their last kiss for a while, and Pit made sure it would make up for everyday they'd miss one another. Link pulled away and blushed. "Till next season my love," he took his luggage and met up with Zelda.

Pit tucked the pendant of the necklace inside his tunic and hid the string with his white scarf. He was ready to keep it safe from Palutena.

Back in Skyworld, Palutena greeted Pit with a smile. "How was it?" she'd ask. Pit told her about all the brawls and contestants. She'd listen as he rambles on over Mario, Sonic, and others. He'd purposely avoid the topic of Hyrule's Hero to protect his boyfriend. Palutena allowed him to leave the temple to get situated.

Pit walked into his room. Nothing like his dorm. Just his plain twin bed, no games, his weapons, a single window and the same stone walls. He sighed and sat on his bed. Looking at the door one last time for precautionary reasons, he slipped Link's pendant from inside his tunic and pressed it to his lips.

A sudden warning rang through the temple.

"MEDUSA'S BACK!!!" cried a centurion.

Pit ran out to see a darkened sky. Lady Palutena ran out to the same sight. They traded glances and nodded. Palutena sighed, "I know you just got back but...want to have one more adventure?" Pit pulled out his first blade and nodded, "Underworld scum."
