Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

The door opened. "Oh hello Pit," smiled a green haired goddess. Pit fiddled his thumbs together, "H-hello Lady Palutena. May I ask you something?" She opened the door and allowed him to step inside, "What's got you down, champ?" Pit's wings hid behind him.

"W-weird things have been happening. I have been having rapid mood swings and attacking other smashers," he paused and looked up at the goddess's understanding look. "I blank out and then when I come to, I'm told I've done wrong." Palutena ran her fingers over her staff, "And what causes these mood swings?" The Angel shrugged, "I don't know. Someone could do the smallest thing and I guess I get angry. Like when Fox spilled a drink on me or Marth looks at me wrong. I'm scared that I'll hurt someone."

Palutena nodded, "And when does it end? Who says you do bad things?" Pit thinks. Link is always there when he wakes up. Link cares for him afterwards. He decides to be honest and tell her exactly who. "L-Link, the elf hero. He's always there when I come to reality." Palutena's eyebrows furrowed, "I knew it! You've lied to me!"

Pit gasped, "La-Lady Palutena why would you assume such a thing?" The goddess slammed her staff down and glared at him, "You've been having an affair with that hero! That spell was placed on you by me and it would only stop when you look into the eyes of your lover. Don't think I haven't caught on to your games, angel." Pit's eyes widened, "No Palutena, I love him!"

Palutena locked the door, "But he doesn't love you! Humans are dishonest and traitors!" Tears swelled up in the angel's blue eyes, "No. No. Link loves me...or at least...no! No! He's told me he does!" Palutena continued to raid with facts about the untrustworthy nature of all humans, "Besides, he's already cheated on you." Pit's eyes widened, "W-with who?" The goddess smiled, "He's been dancing and dating Zelda."

Pit knew that everything between them was strictly platonic, like family. "That's where you're wrong! Zelda and Link care about me!" The goddess raised her staff and threw Pit against the wall. "Stupid Angel! The humans are using you! Link will leave and hate you!" Pit kneeled up from the floor, "Link promised he'd love me...no matter what. Link can keep that promise."

The green haired woman slammed her staff down and walked over to the Angel on the ground. Her hands extend towards him as he recoils. "Pit come here," she says in a nicer tone. Pit can't back away any further. Her hands cup his face. She pulls him so their foreheads touch, "Pit, can't you see I'm protecting you?" Pit starts to whimper as he grips her forearms to pull her away. "This is for your own good, Pit"

A ball of light flows into Pit and through his body. "Let me take over since you can't do things right," she whispers.

When the spell is cast he is released. The dazed Angel sat on the floor.

The goddess looks at her handiwork. "Pit," she gets his attention, "when you see Link...what do you think about?" Pit smiled, "How fun it will be to break his courageous little heart." Palutena nods and picks up the Angel.

"Good. Now go out there and tell him how you really feel." Pit nodded and walked outside before shutting he door behind him.

Palutena sighed and sat by her window. I'm sorry Pit. It's best if you don't have feelings for humans.
