Link took a deep breath before turning to Pit's room.

Dark Pit's voice echoed in his head.

Link now stood before the Angel's door and knocked. No answer. Again...no answer. He rolled his eyes and took Pit's spare key from his side pouch and opened the door. He put they key back before walking in.

On the bed was his love, sobbing and shaking. His wings drooped and his whimpers filled the room.

Link's heart broke knowing he created such a sorry sight. "Pit, I apologize for my behavior out there," Link walked to the side of his bed where Pit's back faced him. Pit said nothing. "I was wrong, Pit. You're not lying, you're too nice."

Link walked around the other side. He kneeled down so he was leveled with Pit's crying face. Link rubbed his shaking shoulder. "Pit please. I'd never live with myself if I took your shiny smile." Pit smiled a bit through the tears, "Is it really that shiny?" Link nodded and kissed Pit's cheek, "I'm very sorry for my actions." Pit sat up so Link could sit down next to him.

"Now do you understand? I can't lie to you," Pit scolded. Link nodded, "So when you said you didn't do those things...you had no control?" Pit nodded.

Link took notice of Pit's puffy red eyes and felt guilt. Link pulled Pit onto his lap and wiped away what tears remained. "I never mean to hurt you. I'm just stressed. I mean with what's been happening, hiding from your goddess, and the smashes...I don't know how I stay sane." Pit smiled and kissed his head, "I'll be here. I'll get to the bottom of what's been going on and I'll fix this." Link smiled. He looked Pit over and noticed his wings were still drooping. Pit has only had this problem one other time, last season, where his wings would be affected by his mood and not work. Link knew exactly how to fix it.

Pit was quietly hugging Link and laying his head on his chest. "Pit?" Link said. Pit looked up on to have his lips caught by Link's. The Angel smiled into the embrace and his wings unconsciously spread wide and fluttered in glee. Only the hero could make him so happy.

Link pulled away and smirked, "Fixed ya!" Pit giggled and kissed him again.

Pit sat in the field outside the mansion. His wings flapped around and attempted to make him airborne. He decided to give it a try to fly on his own. He jumped onto a nearby tree stump and spread his wings and hopped off. He flapped hard but only hovered. He huffed and climbed back on the stump.

He hopped off and soared up. He broke through the clouds and laughed. "I'm doing it! I'm really doing it!" He went back down to tell Link but when he was under the cloud barrier he saw his green haired goddess raising her staff. He looked to his wings and saw the power of flight. Not that Pit doesn't enjoy her help but he'd much rather fly on his own accord. He put on a smile for Palutena and landed before her. "Hello, Lady Palutena. Pit at your service," bowed the Angel. "Are you ready for your battle today?" asked Palutena. He nodded, "That Captain Falco is going down!" The goddess giggled and led him inside.

Inside Link was walking their way with Marth under his arm. Pit smiled unnoticed by Palutena. Link looked at him then quickly looked away. "I don't like that human at all," Palutena stated. Pit thought, "Marth? Sure he's a bit spoiled but h-" "No Pit, the green man. You know, pointed ears," she corrected. Pit internally frowned, "You mean Link? He's a hero. Why don't you like him? After the one battle?"

She shook her head, "There is something about him I have a bad feeling about." Pit sighed and continued walking with her.

"How are you enjoying Smash?" Pit asked. Palutena sighed, "I'm going to be honest with you, Pit. I only enjoy Rosalina's company, I mean aside from yours and Pittoo's." Pit fake smiled, "Rosalina is very nice indeed." Palutena placed her hand on his shoulder, "Do you have any friends here?"
