Chapter 13

Link and Pit were walking through the halls of the Smash Mansion. The two walked hand in hand. "You gonna watch me take on Pac Man?" Pit asked leaning his head on his boyfriend's shoulder. Link nodded, "Of course. You can take him down!" Pit giggles and they turn the corner. A burst of light flashes over them and they see a familiar head of green hair.

Link moves his hand to grip Pit's waist. He pulled the angel close. Pit moved closer to Link and held tight. Palutena smiled at the two, "Hello boys." Link growled, "Am I going to have to beat you again?" Pit gasped at Link's aggression.

Palutena shook her head, "No please. I understand your adoration for humans." Link raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? Just last month you tried to kill us!" The goddess bowed, "I understand you are angry with me. But I have been sent back to Skyworld and have been sentenced to visit the humans of our nearby town." Pit's eyes lit up and he gasped. The green haired woman continued, "I met with them and they...treated me so nicely. After all I've done to them. They're full of heart." Even she started to tear up.

Link looked down at Pit. The angel was shaking in tears, "I've been telling you that for decades. Welcome to team Human, Lady Palutena." Link looked at her and pulled Pit aside.

"Pit, you're going to trust her that quickly?" Asked the hero. The angel nodded, "I'm an angel, Link. I know the difference between truth and lies. She's being honest." Link nodded and wiped a year away from the angel's face with his thumb, "I'll trust her too. Only for you."

Palutena awaited the boys to turn around. She fiddled with her dress and wiped her crying eyes. Honestly she felt terrible for the heart break she's caused. Master Hand scolded her and told her she wasn't acting like an adult about this. She hurt Link, Pit, and everyone around her.

They turned back around and smiled at her. Link cleared his throat, "We accept your apology. Just please accept us as we are." Pit smiled, "A relationship between a divine entity and a human can't be that bad. Let alone two boys." Palutena nodded and embraced both boys, "Thank you! Thank you! I feel awful! Is there anything I can do for you two? Anything at all?"

Link looked down at Pit. Pit sighed at spread his wings, "Grant me my old wings?" Palutena spawned her staff, "Now Pit I don't have that kind of power." Pit sighed, "No. I know it was wishful thinking. But I-" The goddess rose her staff up, "But with combined power I could." Pit gasped and held Link tightly.

Palutena smiled and closed her eyes, "Viridi! Phosphora! Pyron! Dyntos!" Link and Pit closed their eyes in preparation for the blinding light magic. Before them stood 4 more deities. Pit obviously has met them all.

They huddled up to discuss the spell about to be casted. Link tightens his grip on the angel's hand, "Your life's wish is about to come true. Are you prepared for this?" Pit took a deep breath, "Of course. My old wings were stronger and much more beautiful than these on my back." Link smiled and pet the small wings, feeling the downy feathers, "Oh now. These are beautiful in their own way...and super fluffy."

A beam of light shot into Pit and he was engulfed in light. Link turned to all the gods who were deep in concentration. A burst of feathers poofed from the ball of light. Down dropped Pit, wingspan was bigger than the previous. Link took notice of the amount of feathers and the size. Pit wasn't joking about the beauty of them either. Pit sat up and stretched them. A loud audible flap roared through he halls.

All the gods were gone, except Palutena. She smiled, "I'm sorry for keeping them this long. Do what you please with them."

Pit ran to the nearest exit and ran outside. Link quickly followed. Pit flapped his wings and soared skyward. His shadow zipped across the plains. Link looked on in awe at his angelic lover. Pit zoomed overhead, laughing.

"It's been so long since I could fly!" He performed flips and twists. "Woohoo!" He swooped down and scooped up the green clad teen. Link held tightly in fear of falling. Pit giggled, "I've always wanted to do this with you. But I was never strong enough." Link smiled and kissed his cheek. Pit leaned back with a goofy grin on his face and performed a backflip. He tossed Link up and they free fell. He caught Link and they soared again.

After hours of flying they came to rest on a grassy hill. Link was petting the feathery appendages, tickling the angel. "You were amazing up there," Link compliments. Pit nods, "Thanks." Link slumped beside him, "What an eventful season..."

Pit sighed and leaned over to kiss his lips. The lips of his human love.
