Dear Reader,
As 19th of June arrived, a lot of change took place regarding Dear Daughter; but before I tell you what changed, I would want to begin by thanking you.
I had initially planned on putting this in a message, but then I thought a note would be better. Hence, here it goes!
So, I would like to begin by thanking each and everyone of you who has taken out time from their schedule to read this book. It means a hell lot to me. Every view, every vote, and every comment has encouraged me to write more, and write better. (I don't really know about the latter though.)
I don't actually remember how I came up with Dear Daughter or even how I wrote the first chapter; but I can assure you I was shit scared while publishing this story. I know a couple people up here personally, and I was scared what they would think about my writing style. Gladly they have been the best of people when it came down to supporting me. Their support has been unwavering and I think that is pure wonderful!
To everyone I do not know personally, you guys as well have been a huge, HUGE influence! I am glad you thought of supporting this random Indian girl. It means a lot to me that you gave this book a chance!
I had never in my wildest dreams would have thought that people would read my work, let alone like it. Your strong support and love for this book has been exceptional!
So, coming back to the point; here is what has changed about Dear Daughter:
a) It hit (f-word) 1k views!
b) It had over (f-word) 200 plus votes!
c) It is at (f-ing) rank 26 in Short Story!
d) I entered it into the Wattys2016!
(Trust me I was a lot more enthusiastic when I learnt all of this. I just cannot put it across that enthusiastically!)
So, I would really really want you guys to recommend this book to all the people you know. I do not "want" to win the Wattys, I mean I would love to; but this is just my first work, and I just wanted to give it a shot! I would absolutely appreciate all you have to say and all you want me to improve!
