My eyes widened at the sight and I backed away so that my head was no longer peaking at them. Once again, my mind swarm with thoughts. Thoughts like, wait a a minute, he said he had a game and who is that girl? I've never seen her around before. Then I thought, what if they're together!
I peaked over at the girl again, she had green-blue eyes and chin-length black hair. I went back into the gym to find Cleo. I told her that there was something she had to see, so we made our way through all of the students and out of the gym. We peaked our heads around the wall and Cleo whispered, "Who's she?" "No idea",I replied, also whispering. I wondered what they were talking about. They were pretty far down the hall, so it was difficult to hear what they were saying. Then I had an idea, I started walking quietly down the hallway me a Cleo were in, motioning for her to follow. We went down to a tech room, which had a small window in it, that was right behind the two.
We couldn't hear them much better, but at least we could see them perfectly. We just peaked out the window and watched them talk for a while and even though I couldn't hear what they were saying that well, I still heated that annoying little giggle that came out of that girls mouth everytime Dustin flipped his hair. So far I didn't like this new girl very much. Suddenly they looked our way and we ducked as soon as they did. "Come on, we should go back to the dance", Cleo whispered. "What?! no! we can't, not yet",I whispered. "She's probably his friend, Zoe", she said. "Well I'm staying",I told her. "Fine, but you should come back soon", she said. "I will", I said. Then she left and I peaked through the window again, only to see they were gone. Great, I thought, they could be anywhere. So, I started walking around the school, looking for them. That's when the vice principal caught me in the middle of the hallway and told me to go back to the gym. I did as he ordered. And when I came back to the dance, there was only about fifteen minutes left, (yes I know we watched them for quite a while).
After that last fifteen minutes, Cleos mom came and drove me and the squad girls home. And when I went to bed, I just layed there, staring up at the ceiling, wondering about Dustin and that girl. Tomorrow was friday and I was going to try to find out who she was.
