Abbey's POV
I stared out the window of Logan's mini-van. Dark clouds formed in the sky, only hinting at a large storm.
Carson was out of town. He was visiting some family in Washington. I was spending the last two weeks of summer with my family. Today, Logan, Carter, Macie, Mackenzie, Madeline, Madison (Maddie), Megan, and I were going on a trip (in our favorite rocketship🚀)(I needed to get that out of my system⚙) to the mall. Sure we would end up splitting up, but we like to go to the malls far away so the car ride was our family time.

Logan Carter
Madeline Maddie Megan
Abbey Mackenzie Macie
"Y'all are quiet," Maddie laughed.
"We aren't quiet," Megan argued.
"I know. Im talking about Abbey, Logan, and Carter," Maddie replied.
"Im focusing on the road," Logan laughed. "And Carter's probably texting Lexi."
Madeline laughed. "Probably planning their next date. Are you gonna take her to Disney like Carson took Abbey?"
Everyone turned to look at me. Except Logan. He looked in the rear view mirror. I shook my head and looked back out the window.
"What's wrong, baby girl?" Macie asked.
"Shes probably missing Carson," Madeline joked. Kenzie shot her a look.
"What's up Abbey?" Kenzie asked me.
"I dont know. I cant believe summer's coming to an end," I sighed. Kenzie gave me a hug.
"Cheer up, Abs," Logan said. "You'll get to see all your friends soon."
"Yeah. That's the thing," I sighed.
"What do you mean?" Megan asked.
"A lot of my friends im really excited to see. Others im not so happy to see," I explained. "Some of my boy friends (notice that space) have a crush on me."
"Its tough abbey. But why are you upset about people having crushes on you?" Maddie asked.
"When I finished the school year, I was single and free. Then a week later, i was taken and chained," I said.
"Chained?" Logan raised an eyebrow.
"Chained to the relationship. I love Carson. But im afraid that seeing all of my exes might change that," I sighed. "But the good thing about Carson, is that I dont have to pretend to be someone different. He loved my free spirit. Where others wanted to chain me down. Kenzie you can stop hugging me now."
Kenzie let go of me. Everyone laughed except Kenzie, who blushed uncontrollably.
