A couple weeks later, Banner finally was going to take the bandages off of her shoulder. Her stomach had healed the week before but since her shoulder wound was a bigger one, considering her arm got chopped off, Banner made her give it longer to heal. Bruce had done a really good job stitching the skin together and making it in a way that they could attach a prosthetic limb.
Stark had designed an arm similar to the Winter Soldier has, except slimmer and less bulky, considering the size difference between the two. Evangeline was by no means a big person. Sure she had muscle but not as much as Bucky did. So with a smile on their faces both the Hatter and Evangeline made their way into the lab at the Avengers head-quarters. They had moved their from the tower a little before the bandages on Evangeline's stomach came off.
Stark and Banner were waiting, and both smiled (Stark's a little more smug than anything) when they walked in. When Evangeline sat on one of the tables, Banner stepped forward and slowly removed the bandages, making sure that the skin was completely fine before he stepped back and let Stark approach.
"This is my first time making a prosthetic limb but considering I made it, it will work." Stark said with another smug smile.
"Just shut up and put it on." Evangeline said glaring playfully at him.
"Fine. Fine. This will hurt a bit considering it has to fuse with you skin."
Hatter narrowed his eyes but said nothing, stepping to the left of Evangeline and taking her hand in his. Stark line up the arm which looked like a rounded disc and set it on her shoulder. He pressed a button and the disc made a whirring noise. Little spikes fused themselves into Evangeline's skin making her yelp and squeeze the Hatter's hand. The skin around Hatter's eyes darkened in slight anger at her getting hurt but he kept calm. When the noise stopped, Stark pressed another button and the arm began to build itself out of the disc. When it was done, the outside shimmered a bit before a skin like layer surrounded the arm making it look like normal.
Tony stepped back and gestured for her to try it out. Evangeline flexed her new arm and stretched it in all ways possible. It felt normal, like it wasn't made of pure metal. Evangeline grabbed a piece of metal that was sitting near her a squeezed it making it bend and mold to the shape of her hand. She smiled before looking up at the two science bros.
"Thank you both." They just nodded and went back to making science. Evangeline and Hatter left the room.
"So what now?" Hatter asked as they walked down the hall.
"I'm going to start helping the Avengers more often. It's the least I can do." Evangeline said.
"What about Salutem?"
"When I'm gone, you and Sebastian will be in charge. You know how to run the kingdom." Evangeline said with a smile, giving Hatter a kiss.
Hatter smiled back, "Fine, but if you are hurt again, I'm hunting that person down and killing them. No hesitation."
"Matthew!!" Evangeline said, opening a portal.
"What?!" Hatter replied before running through the portal with Evangeline on his heels.
A/N - Another chapter for y'all, this one was another filler though. The next chapters will be relating to Civil War so brace yourselves. She will be on Stark's side, considering she is closer to Stark and Natasha than she is with Steve.
Also, shout out to RandomGurlLoveMarvel for the lovely, disturbing new cover. I absolutely love it.
