"Lonely..."
"Knock it off, Teddy."
"He's Mr. Lonely...."
"I mean it!"
"He has nobody...."
"I swear to Merlin!"
"To call of his own...OOOOOH- OW!"
Teddy rubbed the back of his head as Henry lowered his hand back to his side.
"What was that for?" Teddy asked with a small pout.
"What do you think, Teddy?"
"I was only singing a song. I thought it might cheer you up, since you've been mopey all day."
"I have no been mopey!" Henry said crossing his arms.
"Right, you've just been a ray of sunshine since Hope left on her date with McGregor."
"It's not a date!" Henry snapped. "I mean...it's not a date. Hope's words not mine.'
"Oh your denial is overwhelming, my poor sweet child." Teddy pulled Henry's head into his chest and rubbed his hand over Henry's cheek.
"Please stop touching me, Teddy, this is getting really weird, really fast."
"No, this is how to make it weird, really fast."
Henry glanced up to see Hope standing next to him, causing the boy to jump and fall off the bench he had been sitting on in Hogsmeade.
Teddy returned back to his natural form before bursting into laughter.
"You're such a git, Teddy!"
Teddy took over Henry's seat before folding his legs over one another and glancing down at his friend of the ground.
"I wouldn't have to do this, if you would just be honest with yourself, Henry."
"I am being honest, you're the one who keeps saying there's something there that isn't!"
"Oh and the denial grows!"
"The only thing growing here is the want to punch you in the face."
"I swear, you're worse than Elliot sometimes, Henry. It's obvious and everyone has picked up on it except you."
"Oh right, like you and your feelings for Stella?"
Teddy narrowed his eyes down at the boy. "There is nothing going on between Stella and I."
"Pfft yeah right...talk about denial."
"Hush, I know what I'm talking about and you don't."
"Great arguing, Teddy."
Returning from Hogsmeade, Henry hoped Hope was back from spending the day with the McGregor boy, because he was terribly bored without his best friend.
Fortunately, he found her quickly entering the castle, but she was sitting in the window seat with Eliza with Stella leaning against the castle wall.
"So? Did he try anything?" Stella asked loud enough for Henry to hear. He came to a halt in the corridor and listened.
"Well..I...he held my hand as we were walking around." Hope admitted.
Eliza let out a small squeal. "He did not!"
"He did...and..I dunno...I guess it was nice and all."
"You guess?" Stella scoffed.
"Well yeah, it was weird for me. I definitely thought he was trying to have a thumb war at first. It was definitely not the case."
"Hope, you tried to have a thumb war when a boy tried to hold you hand?" Eliza dropped her head into her hands with a slight groan.
"Well how else was I supposed to take it! I'm not used to people holding my hand...not since my parents stopped holding it when we were out in public. When someone holds my hand it's like..it's like being on leash or something." Hope told them.
The twins snorted loudly.
"Maybe you need to be put on a leash you crazy badger." Stella teased her.
"No way!" Hope protested immediately. "Badgers are not meant to be tamed. I- HENRY!" the girl became distracted as she saw him standing in the middle of the corridor. She immediately pushed herself up from the window seat and ran over to him. She wrapped her arms around him.
"It's been too long." she said in a mocking cry.
"You're so dramatic, Hope." Henry chuckled. "BUT I MISSED YOU TOO!" He wailed loudly.
"They are so weird." Stella shook her head before looking at her sister. Eliza smiled before glancing up at Stella.
"Yes, but it's their weirdness that makes them get along so well."
"I can't tell if she gets it from the Lupin side or the Weasley side though." Stella chuckled.
"I think it's a good mixture of both."
"Is that where you get your weirdness from then? From dad's side?"
"I'm quite proud of that! Thank you!" Eliza said before standing up and walking down the corridor.
"Aww come on Eliza, don't walk away."
"I'm still walking!"
"So how was your non-date?" Henry asked as he and Hop were curled up across from each other in a window seat long after Eliza and Stella had left them.
"It was..nice. I didn't realize that McGregor was at that level. I really thought we were going to go to the quidditch shop and get gloves. I mean...that was my plan."
"Yes, but your plans are usually always different from everyone else's, Hope."
"Then how come you always know the plan?" she smiled at him.
"Well, I like to think that since we've been around each other since birth that I know you pretty well."
The two grinned before a flash of lightning outside interrupted them. They looked out the window at the approaching storm and smile.
"I guess someone scored." Henry said.
"Wait for it..." Hope and Henry listened for the thunder which came rolling in a few seconds later.
"And there is Hope!" Henry said in his best quidditch announcer voice. " Striking yet another bludger and nearly decapitating the opponent!"
"And if you listen closely ladies and gentlemen...oh wait there it it...the sound of Henry Black chanting the loudest in the stands. There is no one who could cheer better!"
"I do take pride in that." Henry said. "I'm always going to be your number one fan."
"Promise?" Hope asked, nudging him with her foot lightly.
"Promise. Although, you need to step up your game, Weasley. The whole lot of you on the Gryffindor team..losing the first match!'
"Hey! I did pretty good!" Hope defended herself. "Don't blame me, blame Wood."
"I will."
"Wanna go find Fergie and bother him?"
"I thought you would never ask, Hope."
