It was just a normal day at the orphanage. It's been 5 years since I've been here. I was just hanging out with my best friends, Olivia and my dog Mark.
I first saw Mark shivering in a corner of an alley on a cold rainy day. That's when I decided to take him in. I promised Mrs. Sanchez that I'll be the one in charge of him and she let me keep him and let him roam around the orphanage.
One day, Olivia and I were called to Mrs. Sanchez's office so we went there. When we got there, we saw two guys, one with red hair, glasses, and stubble beard, and a guy with brown thick hair and beard.
"Mr. Kramer, this is Samantha. She's been here for 5 years now and I think she'll like you, and Mr. Fishbach, this is Olivia. She's as old as Samantha and she came here just a year after Samantha came in." Mrs. Sanchez said to Mr. Kramer and Mr. Fishbach.
"Oh, nice to meet you, Samantha. My name's Barry." Barry said holding out his hand.
"Please Sir, call me Sam." I pointed out, shaking my hand.
"Nice to meet you Olivia! I'm Mark." Mark said holding out his hand to Olivia.
"Nice to meet you too, Sir." Olivia said to Mark. Mrs. Sanchez told Barry and Mark more about us when she said we had to leave because they needed to talk, so we went in our rooms listening to music.
Barry's POV
'She's been here for 5 years?! Poor kid...' I thought to myself as Mrs. Sanchez started to talk, stopping my train of thought.
"So, do you guys want to adopt them now or somewhere later when you're ready?" She asked me.
"Uh, I'll wait for a while, if that's ok. I have to get some stuff ready." I replied.
"I'll do the same thing." Mark said.
"Oh, well, I'll make sure that it's gonna be a surprise for them when you're ready." She said back with a smile. I smiled back and gave her a nod. She stood up and held up her hand. We stood up too and shook her hand.
hOI! So did you guys like my first chapter to my first Game Grumps book? It's really cheesy/cliché but that's how I wrote it so deal with it! I was really struggling cuz I didn't know what to write. 😅 It will be more interesting in the next few chapters. (I hope.)
