Chapter 8 - Permanent Home

I woke up to the smell of bacon, so I walked to the kitchen to see Suzy making breakfast.

"Good morning, Sam" She sad with a smile.

"Good morning. Have you seen Barry around?" I asked her.

"He came in early. He's downstairs doing some work." She replied as I thanked her. I went downstairs and saw Dad lying on a bean bag chair with headphones on and his laptop on his lap.

"Oh, hey Sam! Good morning!" He said.

"Good morning. I know you're pretty busy right now, but I just wanna ask when do we get the rest of my stuff from the orphanage?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah! I took care of that already." He replied.

"Oh really?! Wow. Thanks! Oh by the way, wanna steal some bacon Suzy's making?" I asked as he nodded and got up from his seat, and we creeped towards the kitchen.

I made some meows that apparently convinced Suzy that Mochi and Mimi were hungry. She we out of the kitchen to find the cats sleeping. While she was out, Barry and I came in and stole a few strips of bacon from the plate. We then hurried straight to the living room before Suzy could see us. We then ate bacon in peace, but I left 2 for Olivia.

I went in our room and waved the two strips of bacon in front of her nose. A moment later, her eyes opened wide and focused on the bacon in front of her.

"Ew, get that out of my vegan face. JUST KIDDING! Gimme that! Did you steal this from the kitchen?" She asked as she grabbed the bacon from my hand.

"Yup, especially from Suzy." I replied.

"Noice." She said as she got up and went to the bathroom.

-Time Skip-

"So, you were probably wondering where the ready of your stuff is, and today is the day you're gonna see it!" He said with excitement.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so hyped!" I replied with the same amount of excitement.

"First, I want you to pack up ALL of your stuff from the room." He said as he ruffled my hair, and I made my way to my room. I passed by Olivia who was drawing on her drawing pad.

"Hey, dude! What'cha drawin'?" I asked her.

"Oh, nothing. Just a little family portrait of you, me, your dad, my dad, and the rest of the grumps." She replied. I looked at the screen and saw everyone drawn in anime.

"Holy cow, man! This is cool!" I yelled and everybody heard.

"What's goin' on here?" Dan asked as he came to us.

"Dan, come look at this!" I motioned for him to look. He took and good long look at it and I saw his eyes bulge.

"Oh my g*d, Olivia. This sh*t's awesome!" Dan said as I saw Olivia blush.

"Thanks, Dan. I'm not finished with it though..." Olivia said as she was interrupted.

"Everyone, come see what Olivia drew!" Dan yelled as everyone came to us and awe'd at Olivia's drawing.

"Thanks, guys. It's not finished, but if you guys let me work, I can finish it later today, okay?!" She said and laughed at the same time.

"Ok, ok. I have to do stuff anyways, so see you later!" I told her as I ran to my room. I then gathered my clothes  and shoes into a luggage bag Barry got me for a few days ago. I then put my other stuff, like my gadgets, cosplay stuff Holly gave me and makeup Suzy gave me, in the backpack I came in with. I don't really use makeup, but I might one day, maybe for cosplay, I don't know.
