Chapter 16 - A Weird Stalker

Sam's POV

It was just another day at school with Olivia, but now with Matt following closely behind us like a creep. When we talk to him though, he acts like nothing's wrong. Very weird and peculiar. I've also started getting notes and little gifts in my locker which was also weird since the only person that knows my locker's passcode is Olivia. What's going on right now?!

"Hey, Sam! How's Math class?" Matt asked me from behind which made me jump a little bit.

"It's...fine. Horrible as always, but I passed a quiz which is good I guess. Also, don't scare me like that, please." I replied as he chuckled a little bit.

"I'm sorry. You're just very fun to scare!" He said laughing a bit harder.

"Okay, that's enough. We need to go to lunch right now if we wanna get the best seats still. We've been winning 2 weeks in a row!" I said as I ran to the lunchroom. We got there and sat closest to the cafe so we can get our lunch first.

-TIME SKIP-

After the last class, I went to my locker to put the other subjects that I didn't have as homework. On the way there, I saw Matt open my locker. He put in a pink envelope and a small pink teddy bear. Then I just noticed that he might be hinting me to something. Valentine's Day was coming very soon, and he might be asking me to be his Valentine. It was all very flattering, but I'm just not interested in guys at the moment. I saw him run away and I went to my locker. I saw the envelope. It read:

              Dear Sam,

      You've been an inspiration to me. Not only on Game Grumps, but when you thought me about things I didn't understand in my homework. You're just the best person I've met and I wish I could say this to you personally, but I'm just too scared to....will you be my valentine?

It was a very touchy note, but like I said, I'm not interested in guys at the moment. I got a little piece of paper and started to write:

          Dear Matt,

     You're such a sweet guy, but I just want you to know that I'm not interested in any guy right now. Thank you for the teddy bear though! He really smells like strawberries! What I'm trying to say is I solemnly reject your note. I'm sorry, but maybe we can be friends instead?

I put my books and notebooks in my locker and left my return note on top. I also left the bear, which was really hard to do, but it had to be done. I took my stuff and caught the school bus home. I saw Matt sit in his usual seat, which was in front of Olivia and I, but he wasn't as energetic as always.

"What's up with him?" Olivia asked me in whisper.

"He tried to ask me out, but I told him I'm not interested in any guy, and rejected his note. He even gave me a strawberry-scented teddy bear! It was sweet, but I rejected him. I don't really regret it though." I said also in a whisper. We just kept on talking, but then I heard quiet sobbing. It was weird to hear that since everyone else in this bus is like screaming form the back to the front of the bus. I looked over at Matt and saw him crying. I was about to comfort him, but his stop came next and he left the bus.

"I feel bad for the guy." Olivia said.

"Me too, but it hurts more that I was the reason." I replied. I just couldn't help but feel bad. I just put on my headphones and listened to TWRP to calm me down. I sat there with my eyes closed, and apparently fell asleep in 5 minutes. I woke up to someone shaking me awake.
