A few days after my birthday, Dan left the house more frequently. It was added to my suspicions that he and Cassy are hanging out more until my thoughts were stopped by a text message - one from Danny, one from Cassy.
Cassy: I need help! I like this guy, but I'm afraid to tell him. What if he doesn't like me back?!
Me: Okay, let me find a time and place. I have to talk to someone atm.
Cassy: Oh, okay! I just need this so much rn!
I left and tapped on Danny's text:
Danny Boy: Hey, bud! Can I ask you for a favor? I can't seem to find the exact words I need to impress a woman I like. Since you know what she likes and not likes, can you help me out? I'll owe something, I promise!
Me: Nah, Dan. I can help you out with no cost whatsoever! Hmm, how about tomorrow?
Danny Boy: Oh, sure! I'm gonna ask her out this weekend, and I just can't find the strength to do so.
Me: Don't worry! I'll make you guys the best live team EVAH!
Danny Boy: Thanks, Sam. I don't know what I'd do without you. Also, we might've hung out a few times behind the Grumps' backs, so you're the first one I've told.
Me: This is such an honor! See you tomorrow! Buh-bye!
Danny Boy: Buh-bye!
I tapped back to Cassy's:
Me: Hey, uh, what about at the park at...2:30? I don't have to record or edit, but I do have to walk Mark. What about that?
Cassy: That sounds amazing! The sooner the better, right? Okay, see you then! Bye!
Me: Bye!
Today was gonna be an interesting day!
-Time Skip-
I got Mark in his leash. I told Barry that I would be walking Mark to the park. Since he already knew about my suspicions on Matthew, he told me to be extra careful in public, but I told him I was gonna hang out with Cassy and that was enough for him. I called Olivia to meet me at the park A.S.A.P. We walked out the door and went to the park.
I saw Cassy sitting on a lonely bench. I waved to her and she noticed.
"Hey, uh, so what's up?" I asked.
"I'm kinda have a tiny crush on Danny." She whispered the last part.
"Pardon me? Who were you talking about?" I asked.
"I have a HUGE crush of Dan okay?! I wanna ask him out this weekend, but what if he doesn't like me back?! What if I end up lonely forever?! WHY DOES LOVE HURT?!" She yelled.
"Hey, don't worry! I have an idea of what to do, plus I have reinforcements." I said. As if on cue, Olivia came running to us.
"What's the immediate call about?!" Olivia asked panting.
"Someone here has a crush on our Uncle Danny." I said with a grin as Cassy blushed a deep pink.
"Exactly what we anticipated!" She whispered into my ear.
"Okay, you've hung out with him, you should feel comfortable around him already! I understand if not though." I said.
"That's the point! He's so nice and cool, I'm always awkward around him!" She replied.
