Chapter 40 - The Wedding

The wedding was beginning soon. Grizz was in his place as Best Bear. Chloe was flower girl along with Asia. Panda was outside of the church. He was staring at the leaves in the trees.
Today is the day, Panda thought nervously.

It was a bittersweet moment. He was marrying the bear of his dreams, but soon Grizz would leave with Sunny and Asia.

The wedding was about to start and Panda rushed into position.
He thought about Grizz again as he saw his standing near Ice Bear, encouraging him.

No matter, where he goes. He'll always be our brother., Panda thought.

Huh."Brother". It was weird to use that word considering now two "Brothers" are getting married, Panda thought. He thoughts were interrupted when the Wedding March Song began to play on the organ.

Chloe and Asia threw petals gracefully. Then they quickly took their seats.

Panda took a deep breath as he walked down the isle, flowers in paws.

He looked around to see so many people here on their Special Day. Charlie, of course hung in the back row, in disguise, not wanting his identity to be found.

Panda finally reached the alter. He was so nervous he thought He would faint. But, the thought of having Ice Bear with him forever, gave him the strength to stand.

Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Panda and Ice Bear in marriage. In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and husband."

"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Panda Bear and Ice Bear in marriage. Through their time together, they have come to realize that their personal dreams, hopes, and goals are more attainable and more meaningful through the combined effort and mutual support provided in love, commitment, and family; and so they have decided to live together as husband and husband."

"To all present I say: We are gathered here, not to witness the beginning of what will be, but rather what already is! We do not create this marriage, because we cannot. We can and do, however, celebrate with these two the wondrous and joyful occurrence that has already taken place in their lives, and the commitment they make today."

"The two may now speaks their vows", the reverend said.

"Ice Bear, I love you as much as I need to breath. I love you more than life itself. You gave me the confidence to stand here right now. Sure, we complete opposites, but that's why your my perfect mate. Ice Bear I vow to never leave your side and to always love you.", Panda said.

"I, Ice Bear, vows to love and protect you, Panda. Ice Bear may not always show it, but Panda is everything to me. I love Panda since the day we all met. Panda, you gave me the greatest thing in the world: True, everlasting love. Thank You....", Ice Bear concluded.

"Do you have the rings?", the pastor asked.

Sunny came a gave the rings.

"Ice Bear? With this ring, do you promise to love Panda? In sickness and in health? And till death do you part?"

"I do", Ice Bear whispered.

"Panda do you promise to give Ice Bear the love he's been waiting for. Do you promise yourself to Ice Bear. To have and to hold? Forever and after?"

"I do", Panda answered happily.

Panda and Ice Bear exchanged rings.

"You may kiss the bear", the reverend concluded.

Panda and Ice Bear kisses passionately and purely.

The people watching from the seats stood up and cheered as Ice Bear carried Panda down the isle.

Later that night there was a huge party. Everyone was there.

Panda and Ice Bear danced all night. They never stopped looking into each other's eyes.

"Ice Bear has never been so happy", Ice Bear smiled.

"Well, you're gonna feel this happy for the rest of your life"
Panda whispered as the song ended.....
