Saving us from ourselves

Andi's POV

"Dan, what did you need to tell us?" I ask as soon as we stop. "Andi. Kaeli. Phil is going to tell Maddie something."

I stand up straight and look up at Dan. "What is it? What's he going to say?"

All of a sudden, Dan looks towards Phil. Phil is looking at Maddie. Dan looks back to Kaeli and I.

Smiling, Dan tells us. "Phil is going to tell Maddie he loves her." Kaeli and I started to freak out. In the middle of our freak0-out session, I noticed Dan and Phil are looking at each other. Dan mouthed something. It looked like he was said 'say it' but I wasn't sure.

I stopped and looked towards Phil and Maddie. Dan pulled me into his side. I smiled to myself. "Andi," Dan started, "guess what."

"What?"

"I love you, Andi."

"Dan, I love you too."

Dan kissed my forehead, and we turned to watch and see what Phil was going to do/

Phil turned to look at Maddie. He said something and she stared at him. Phil then said something else and Maddie covered her mouth. She said something back to Phil. Phil then pulls Maddie towards him and kisses her.

"Awww," Kaeli, Dan, and I all say in unison. Kaeli then looks at Dan and I. "You two, too. I heard the 'I love you' that's so adorable."

I blushed and then saw Mark. He was walking towards us. "Hey, Mark," I called. He walked to Kaeli and took her hand. "Oh," I said.

Dan took my hand. "Andi, do you want some ice cream, or a shake, or something?"

"Yeah. Sure."

Dan and I left Kaeli and Mark to talk. Phil and Maddie were sitting on the bench, talking, so we left them.

Off we went to the ice cream/ frozen treats shop.
