IX.

Dear Bucky,

How are you? I feel like I ask you this every time I write to you, but I'm always curious (and worried). I read every newspaper I could find, and it's safe to say that this war is far more horrendous than I thought. I could only imagine. I hope you are well though, and not dead.

It would truly suck if you did die Bucky because who else would I write to and look forward to kissing when they come home? I also really happen to like you Barnes, so you'd be doing me a real solid if you came back alive. Plus you promised as I did in writing to you.

This whole liking a person has actually put me into a bit of a mess too you see; blushing when I read your letters and not being able to look at another man without only thinking of you.

And now I'm rambling on again about embarrassing truths, in ink. Great.

Anyways, now that that fact is out of the way, I have to say, I'm amazed at how many letters we've written each other since this all began. I've kept the ten or so in my notebooks to save them.

Have you written to Steve lately? He's been away at basic training for the past few weeks, and he's going to undergo this experiment to become a super soldier, as most would call it. My father actually created the serum, and I'm curious to see how it turns out (and nervous). I'm positive nothing will go wrong, I've read through the procedure, and it's sound. But yet again, worrying is another bad habit of mine. This experiment though will be good for Steve I think. He could finally be able to do want he wants to do.

Speaking of, graduation is next week. I'm excited, and I don't want to you be bummed out or anything. I know you wanted to come, and I think that's all that matters. I hope to join the ranks soon too. I've been talking with Colonial Phillips, and he wants to send me to your infantry once I'm done. Even if it is only for a couple weeks I'd be glad to be out there.
