You know what I hate?
One of the biggest struggles of being gender fluid.
Something that gender fluid people probably struggle more with than transgender people.
Restrooms...I know, I know. Recently, more and more places have made it allowed for transgenders to use the restroom the identify with due to all of the rage about the topic. Of course, gender fluid people fit into that range of "use what you identify as."
But what about those "neither" or "both" days that we get? For guy and girl days it's easier, just go to what you identify as on that particular day.
But seriously. One thing that only a gender fluid human being can understand is when you are in a store and have to use the bathroom. You walk to the restroom and see that it goes two ways. To the left, the women's restroom. To the right, the men's restroom. And you're just stuck in between thinking, "What do I do? Where do I go?"Maybe it's just me. On both days it's a little bit easier than neither days. On both days you just go to whichever. I usually go to my birth sex restroom on both days to make it easier. On neither days it's like hell though.
That moment when you're just standing in between, worried about where you'll go. Then someone else walks up behind you and goes into a bathroom and is just staring at you like, "What's that kid doing?"Maybe I am over reacting, but truthfully only a gender fluid person can get the overwhelming pressure of what bathroom do I go to on those hellish "neither" days.
