[5] Nico x Reader|| Leaving my past.

You are a mortal who was adopted my Artemis after she found you as a baby on the streets.
She considers you her daughter but never says "I love you."

"Nico, we can't be together...my mother would never accept me." You said, you and nico were at you hidden spot in the forest when nice tried to kiss you. You are both aware that you feel the same way.
"C'mon y/n, just tell you mother that you feel love." He said. "It's natural."
You sighed.
"That's not the problem, I'm straight; my mom hates everything to do with people who identify as male."
Nico hugged you, and oh how you longed to hug back. But you didn't, you pushed him away.
He sighed and stood up.
"Then you need to come out of the closet, and if you don't she'll find out anyways...she's a god."
You nodded and got up, fine. You'll tell her, besides your her daughter. She'll love and accept you right?
You ran to the big house to see where Chiron was.
"Hey Chiron." You said as you walked
Up to him.
"Is there any chance I can see my mother? Can she come to camp of something?" You asked in a sweet time as you smiled and stood on your tip toes.
"Hmmm...well her and her hunters are actually on their way here tomorrow." He told you as he read a piece of parchment.
"They should be here around three am."
You jumped up and clapped you hands.
"Okay! That's great, thanks!!!" You yelled as you were on you way out of the big house.
You couldn't sleep, nervousness washed over you; and it kept you awake.
You were terrified, what would you say? What would she say? What would happen?
You were still awake as you heard them arriving.
"Mom!" You screamed as you rushed out of you cabin.
"Y/n!" She exclaimed as she hugged you.
"I have something to tell you." Your muffled voice said as you broke the hug.
"Honey I'm tired, let us sleep first."
You sighed.
"No mom you're a god you aren't tired so please come and talk with me."
She looked at you.
"Fine. Come lets go somewhere private."
You walked to the forest and settled near a tree.
"Mom I-I have f-feelings f-for..." You trailed of.
"Mom I'm sexually attracted to guys." You sighed.
"I've fallen in love with one."
She pursed her lips, but didn't say anything.
"No."
You sighed as tears brimmed your eyes.
"Yes, I am mom. And do whatever you'd like but that won't change who I am as a person."
She glared at you, she was thinking.
"Fine, you'll be leaving camp. I'll take away all the memories that you ever possessed of the life I gave you and I'll put you back on the streets."
You gasped an feel on to your knees. Not long after that you were shaking with sobs.
"Is that what it takes for you to accept that that's how I am?" You asked.
"Probably not. You refuse to accept who I am so you're going to pretend I don't exist." You said, you stood up and turned to leave.
"You have three days to say your goodbyes." Artemis told you.
You turned to look her in the eyes, your state was hard and cold; then you curtsied.
"Thank you my lady." You sneered mockingly, you words laced with venom and hurt.
Two day later:
It was you last day at camp, you had already told everyone that you were leaving and spend the rest of you time crying.
You got up and observed your empty room since had already packed everything.
You walked outside and saw everybody gathered at the camp borders.
Your 'mothers' wannabe daughters had already left.
Which is why you were surprised to see her.
You walked up to Chiron, who was standing right by the camp borders.
"As soon as you step foot out of the camp, you'll forget."
You started to tear up.
"We'll miss you y/n." He told you as he put his hand on your shoulder.
"Then don't make me walk out there." You voice broke and you fell into sobs again.
Chiron just frowned sadly at you.
"Please! Please! Don't make me go out there!" You screamed, your face turned to your mom.
"Please mom." You whispered, her facial expression got slightly softer; but not for long.
Everyone sat in silence for a few moments, then you nodded.
"Fine." You told them all quietly.
"If that's how this is going to be."
You turned to your mom.
"I love you mom."
You turned to Nico.
"I love you Neeks."
You looked at the camp as tears streamed down your face like a waterfall.
"I love all you guys."
Then with all that being said, you stepped out of the camp borders.
