Percy X Reader|| remember when...?

Percy gulped, it was your anniversary and he was pretty nervous.
He held a bouquet of assorted flowers in his hands and smiled awkwardly,
He looked back at Leo and nico, Leo gave a small nod before Percy started to speak.
"Hey y/n, remember when we first met? We were outside that little cafe and you were studying, then I bumped into you and you glasses fell off and your books were scattered everywhere?"
He recounted giving a nervous chuckle.
"And remember how you called me an idiot? But you were smiling at the same time?" He said setting the flowers down.
"And remember our first kiss and how you promised to always protect me? You're amazing at that."
He was gonna do it, he was gonna finally say it.
"Well y/n I guess what I'm trying to say is.....I love you." He told you.
But you didn't reply.
After all, gravestones don't talk.
