A/N: Sorry for the delay, I've been busy and it's really putting a heavy toll on me. To those who were waiting and have been reading my story so far, I'd like to hug and give you many thanks. This chapter will feature my favorite ship and as you can see by the title, expect a surprise from the Fog.

An alarm clock rang and it's noise ripped through the air clearly. It was silenced by a hand and Hiyou sat up from his peaceful sleep, he puts a hand on his mouth as he yawned.

To him, waking up in the morning the next day was like forgetting what happened the day before. But, this time he wasn't thinking like so. The image of Izumi and the Nagara-class light cruiser were stuck in his mind, he couldn't believe that a Fog submarine would choose and make him a Captain.

The lad shook his head in disbelief and went to take a morning shower, he didn't mind the cold water trickling down on him since his mind was occupied by the thoughts of his ship. After showering, he wore his uniform and clipped on a name tag on his attire.

"Misa would not believe what I'm about to tell her." he mentioned about his fellow classmate at the Institute.

Moments later, he sped out from his house and rushed to the Institute to catch up with his group. He reached the gate in time to meet Misa, Zenji and Haruhiko who were showing their name tags to the guard. They were approved to enter and walked inside together.

"You're awfully early today, Hiyou." Zenji grinned, wondering what made his friend like so.

"I'd like to keep in track. I missed a lot yesterday."

Haruhiko joined, "This would certainly affect our morale, Toshiro. You are our leader."

Misa smiled and nudged Haruhiko's arm, the lad glanced at her and sighed.

"Listen to your XO, Hiyou-kun." the brunette laughed.

Hiyou could only smile at his group's attitude, he had only met them for 3 years except for Misa who was his childhood friend. They were brought together as a submarine crew for the new submarines launched by the JMSDF; the Hakugei-class submarines. These vessels were created to battle and outclass her predecessors which fell victim to photon beams and missiles, the Hakugei-class could take several hits with their special armor made from alloy materials and remain in a fight for 3 days.

Hiyou and his group arrived at the National Maritime Institute building, they went inside and took an elevator which leads to the dry docks below the institute.

"I'm so excited! We finally get to see a Hakugei-class submarine up close."

Zenji stated, he was always obsessed with warships and loved their armaments, especially torpedoes on submarines. Whenever the group needs help on the best weapon, he was the one for the job.

"Make no mistake, even if these submarines could operate perfectly, they are no match in matters of protection towards the Fog." Haruhiko replied, adjusting his glasses.

The XO or the second command of the group, Haruhiko was handpicked by the Navy as an Executive Officer should they disembark on a journey aboard the Hakugei-class submarines. He was also a specialist in managing systems of a ship and expert in geography which could give an advantage as a submarine crew.

"True. A Klein Field proves to be impenetrable at least from our point of view. A Tomahawk missile could barely leave a scratch. I don't know if a nuclear blast would work."
