A/N: Things are going smoothly now that I've waded through my finals. Hoping for the best since I might not score perfectly on Sociology because English Literature was in the morning and lasted for 2 hours while Sociology happened in the evening and that was 3 hours. Imagine the pain I went through to stay awake and cram my brain with so many information.
The image used for the story is from Space Battleship Yamato 2202. Could this be a foreshadow? Perhaps.. and I might have to decide whether I should write either Space Battleship Yamato or Girls' Frontline on Wattpad or another platform which I could say as an official site for fanfiction; Fanfiction.Net.
Anyways, I won't keep y'all waiting on this intro.. have a good read..!
(I'm confused at how this story had not been published, I honestly did see it published but then it went back as a draft. Terribly sorry for the trouble.)

50 miles away from the island of Midway...
The Japanese submarine finally regrouped with Arizona after her scouting duty and there were no signs of the Hiei or Myoukou preparing for an attack. It was an eerie silence as the group of ships powered through the water. The I-417 stayed underwater and followed close behind the main fleet.
West Virginia had been whining on the comm for a few minutes because there were no leads. Oklahoma kept an eye out for air or surface threats with her radar while Utah deployed buoys made to detect ships along their path in case they were being followed. The Nevada acted as their back vanguard and the Arizona led the group.
If this had been the years of 1920s, a small fleet like this would show the strength of ones nation as dreadnoughts were considered quite modern. Especially for the Pennsylvania-class. The US Navy were meticulous when it came to capital ships and they want to beat their competition with more armor and better armament.
"According to the intel by the Verniy, we should be able to find the Student Council members up North. It is the perfect place to snipe ships from a distance.. but the problem is.." Hiyou spoke into the comm and paused at his last sentence.
Oklahoma interjects, "We don't know if its truly North.. there's also possibility for North-West and North-East. They could be anywhere."
"Yes. Thank you, Oklahoma."
Utah gave a short whistle into the frequency and sent data links to her fleet members.
"I might be able to discern where they are. It takes a wide view of the battlefield to be able to deliver a perfect shot. They can do that from the direction of North-East since Leyte Gulf has too little cover for ships. It's an open area."
Arizona nodded and inputs new orders to head North-East at full speed. They were now increasing their speed and a view from above shows their position to a new predator, the Japanese Fog had launched mini satellites into the atmosphere and some out at space hidden by debris of destroyed human man-made satellites. The satellites monitors the fleet for at least 3 hours before they reached the combat zone set by the armored aircraft carrier.
Oklahoma's attention was brought fully to her air radar, she walked out from her bridge to take visual view of the sky and spots a white light and what came out from it seemed ridiculous for her. It was a large blue object with a wide front compartment and it was falling quietly before the radar notifies it as a threat. The object ejected thrust from it's back afterburner and that gave away it's identity; a cruise missile.
"Enemy missile directly above us..!"
More signatures appeared on her radar and they were also coming from behind and underwater towards the I-417.
