Terror.
That was the term familiar to mankind ever since the Fog caged them, anyone who resisted were terminated and eliminated from the face of the earth.
There were no hope for humanity before this, but now.. it had two beacons of light holding it steady.
Arizona and the I-417 are working together with the new fleet they created against the Fleet of Fog.
However, they had another thing to worry about. Why are the Fog ships turning against each other? The cruisers Nachi and Ashigara were obviously attacked by another Fog ship since a Super Graviton Cannon was involved in the incident.
Izumi could still make up the entire situation but any means of identifying the vessel responsible for the two cruisers' retreat is simply impossible. First, the extreme range and secondly, the interference caused by the cannon's frequency and the amount of noise underwater.
Even if it was a Fog ship, why didn't it attack her next?
Hiyou tapped the mental model's shoulder, "Izumi?"
"Captain."
She was holding back with the docking process, making her crew wait to start the whole thing.
"I'm sorry. Begin docking."
The submarine was isolated from the water and began descent to the dry docks underground, where the rest of the ships were.
Admiral Colt was the first person to welcome them back, after knowing the submarine risks itself to protect the harbour yet again. Along with him, stood the Arizona.
"The Fleet of Fog suddenly withdrew not long after you went out. What happened out there?" the man inquired, curious of what happened on the other side.
The I-417's crews disembarks and Hiyou shrugged when he was questioned, "We.. were saved by another Fog."
That seemed to have raised Arizona's interest, knowing that the Fog had always been united when it comes to the same enemy.
"Now that is very odd. We should hasten our plans, the Fleet of Fog have increased the blockades around Pearl Harbor and the rest of the US claimed islands."
Oklahoma glanced at the group from a distance as she lowered down the book she was reading, the old battleship then looked at her fellow fleet members.
Nevada was sleeping on a couch, snoring loudly as she lightly scratched her waist. Utah was conversing with the engineers about ships. West Virginia.. the crimson-haired battleship was researching on a women's magazine while twirling strands of her hair.
Oklahoma sighed and turned her attention to California, who was sleeping soundly on her lap. She was in charge of taking care of the young battleship since the others seemed busy with their own business.
"Yet again.. the elder needs to care for the youngsters. Oh, I can't wait to see the outcome of this group." she mumbled and continued reading in silence.
"Get some rest, we will discuss further matters tomorrow."
Arizona dismisses the returned group and walked off with Admiral Colt accompanying her.
"I'm worried."
"About the plan?"
Samuel sighed and shook his head, "No, about you. Are you sure that this will work, Arizona?"
The dreadnought paused to think about her answer, she faced the man and gave a slow confident nod.
"I will push back the Fleet of Fog, at all costs. Defending Pearl Harbor is our top priority whilst paving way towards Japan."
