The Axis of Darkness, Britain once fought against a strong foe against all odds alone.. withstanding extreme pressure from it's enemy.

The First World War; she was almost brought down to her knees because of the German Empire's U-Boat activities.

The Second World War; the same thing happened and Britain could only rely on it's Allies and colonies to fight the Axis Power. However, she was saved by its former colony and closest ally; the United States of America and it's growing Navy.

Now, Britain stands alone yet again against the Fleet of Fog. United with Ireland to form the English Unity. There was nothing that the small state could do against the superior enemy controlling the ocean.

The I-417 currently rests in the dry docks of the Royal Navy, weapons were armed to shoot if the vessel plans to attack the facility.

Only when the human crews disembarked, did the weapons withdraw themselves. The Captain requested to meet the Commanding Officer of the Royal British Navy.

A man dressed in a black uniform approached the submarine Captain and offered his greeting in English.

"Welcome to Britain.. what's left of it anyways."

"Thank you for the warm greeting. We are grateful that you opened your doors for us." Hiyou replied back in English, although his was not so polished because he never really thought of going abroad and talking with Westerners.

The Englishman nodded and hastily shook hands with the Japanese, noticing that he hasn't made any introduction.

"Oh, where are my manners! I'm Garrett Wilson. A Rear-Admiral for the Royal Navy, the Admiral and his Vice are currently meeting with the other officials for our next defensive move."

Zenji slowly looked around the dry docks, there wasn't much to look at. Several Corvettes, Frigates and a handful of Guided-Missile Destroyers. Compared to the United States Navy, who kept a few of their most expensive Super Aircraft Carriers for future conflict against the Fog.. the Royal Navy is running short of vessels to defend its domain.

The looks on the sailors in the facility showed exhaustion and loss of hope, the presence of the Fog Submarine reminds them of the defeats they suffered and what could a single submarine do anyways?

"I hope you won't mind us seeking shelter here for repairs and supplies."

"Help yourself, Captain. There's too many space in here.. if you brought more friends with you, that is."

"Thank you, in exchange.. I will present the Fog weaponry for research. We have quite a decent amount of them. And scavenged parts as well." Hiyou smiled, assuring that in response for the hospitality.

The officer's eyes lit up after hearing that, he called for his Secretary and told her to inform a research team to come to the dry docks. This was a chance for Britain in pushing back the Fog bullying their coasts and submarine merchant fleets.

'Submarine Merchant Fleet', that was the only way in securing supplies for the isolated country. Building submarines became a priority for Britain that there were several submarine pens built around the British territories.

However, the U-Boats were more in numbers and they were sinking British vessels faster than they could launch them out to sea.

Izumi tugged on her Captain's sleeve, bringing his attention to her.

"All means of escaping through the Channel have been blocked. The U-Boats have surrounded us, and there are more ships reinforcing the line as we speak."
