Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Butterfly Effect - The Supreme Flagship's Choice
The Fleet of Fog, a mysterious fleet of advanced sentient warships appeared one day before humanity and drove them out from the sea after wiping out their own naval fleet. Many of the major naval powers decided to retaliate but all their efforts were for naught because these ships had impenetrable shields called Klein Field and piercing spears like Photon Cannons. The United Nation gave everything they had to throw but the Fog broke through their defenses and demolished the remaining ships they mustered for the Great Battle.
The Fog controlled the seas ever since the battle ended, caging mankind in their own country. But, one day... the Fog unity crumbles and they revolted against their Supreme Flagship; the Super Battleship Yamato was assaulted by her own fleet and Musashi, her dear little sister and the second flagship.
Arctic Ocean
Strands of white hair were shown with an orange background contrasting them, it suddenly fades to black and revealed many light cruisers firing conventional shells from their main batteries along with missiles from Vertical Launch System cells. They had red markings on their hull but resembles an authentic WW2 vessel.
Torpedoes swarmed underwater as a group of submarine launched them, one of the torpedoes was zoomed pan before it detonated just a few meters of a huge hull, belonging to a battleship.
Blue markings were revealed from the hull and finally the gun turrets, the famous 460mm main batteries.
Explosions covered the side of the battleship, but it was unscathed because of it's Klein Field.
A woman wearing a white dressing gown and a white headband stood on the top most bridge, she had black hair and blue eyes.
The light cruisers closes in and increased the density of attacks towards the battleship, the woman stretched her arm outwards and deactivated the cruisers.
They ran into each other or stops on the surface of the water, another large battleship comes in and rams the light cruisers in it's way.
"Musashi!" the woman wore a sad expression.
A girl in her teens stood on the bridge of the other battleship, she wore a sleeve-less black shirt coupled with a black shorts. She had a black hat with a white rose on the side of it.
"Yamato. You're being disobedient."
The girl known as Musashi exclaimed, with her eyes shut and tears trickling down her cheeks.
The Super Battleship Musashi showed her broadside, aiming all her main guns to Yamato. Her hull showed orange markings as they split into two vertically, orange sparks appeared initially following alignments of spheres over the empty gap shown by the battleship. The spheres' center glowed orange red as Musashi continued speaking.
"Therefore, I shall sink you and typify the Admiralty Code alone."
Yamato splits her hull and spreads several spheres around her, "I won't let you."
Multitude of super graviton cannon shots were fired from Musashi, the red energy covered in yellowish orange sparks cuts through the air towards Yamato.
Blue vortexes appeared and tore the ocean into half, sucking all the shots coming from Musashi. They vigorously averted all the destruction that the battleship could make to her entire environment.
"We're supposed to be together."
The Supreme Flagship tried to stop her sister, "But... why?"
From a distance, black hexagons with blue sidelines were visible on the surface of the water. A bright light swirls up to the dark sky, creating ripples of white wave.
"I'm trying to free myself from this unacceptable feeling,"
Musashi's main propeller or thrusters cranks up to it's maximal speed, moving the vessel in the air.
"Just to deny this feeling,"
She opened and revealed her red colored eyes, "I would destroy everything."
The two battleships collided, with Musashi pushing and ramming Yamato from her starboard side. The big sister's Klein Field reacts with the impact, withstanding most of the pressure given by the revolting sister. It went on for a few mere seconds before Musashi slowly sat down and hugged her knees.
A secret compartment hidden under her hull opens and pushes out a medium sized cannon, it's gears turned before unleashing an orange beam through the Klein Field and destroyed one of Yamato's equipment. The beam was dragged up to the superstructure and a sphere explodes, affecting the defensive system made to block Musashi's deadly barrage of super heavy cannons.
The Supreme Flagship looks up and saw a man standing beside Musashi on the top most bridge.
"Toshiro-san..." she shuts her eyes and looked down, admitting defeat.
The attack did not stop even for a second, Musashi went for the killing blow as she fired her main guns, secondary armaments and AA guns. Small balls of flames could be seen almost everywhere on Yamato.
The spheres in the gap of Yamato's hull lights up one by one, caused by Musashi's rapid succession shots. The blue vortexes disappeared like statics and the dreadful blasts from the super graviton cannons were let loose, wildly whipping in the air. Another detonation, this one seems to be much more larger than before buckled the battered battleship.
The hulking orange leviathan deployed several more spheres, but this time they were aiming straight for Yamato. Dark orange-red rings widened around Musashi, they marked the beginning of the last move to finish the opponent. Barrages of red thanatonium devastated the dreadnought and finally sinking her, a yellow wave of light travels miles away followed by a rainbow pillar caused by the ignition of nano material.
Submarines sailed past Yamato's sinking ship body, the huge hull ejected smoke and parts of the ship.
"Musashi... how could you..."
Tears escaped from her eyes, she widened her eyes and caught the drops of tears. Despite being a weapon of war, she had not expected to have emotions or even act like a human.
"Please..."
Before sinking and disappearing for the last time, Yamato relayed her last message to a submarine that was sallying above her with it's sisters. Blue rings covered the vessel, turning it's red markings to blue.
As if in accordance to the transformation, a blue vortex appeared and transported the submarine through a time displacement.

The submarine surfaces and revealed it's name on the bow hull.
I-417
I-417 steered towards it's destination marked by Yamato in it's mission details. The ship travelled through time before the revolt had started and was given a task to alter history. A single fatal move could save one life and even take another, that is what they called the Butterfly Effect.
