Izumi stood atop of a building while watching the situation in a city below, she scans for military installation through all the ruins caused by a major conflict. Blue rings surrounded her for a moment as she reports back to her Captain.
"No contact as far as 700 metres. Armed patrols are minimized to support the war effort."
"Thank you, Izumi." Hiyou replied back, leading his crew to another building under cover of darkness.
"Things are so hectic here in Berlin.. the Russians are wrecking it just like-"
The Chief of Armaments tried to give a comment on the ruined city, only to have the XO stare at him. It was clear, he was being rude since the Germans are still human.
"-World War Two." Zenji finished shortly before going silent.
The Captain rushes through along with Misa, the two being the vanguard of the group while Izumi keeps watch from above in preparation to intercept any armed assailant from harming her crew. The mental model easily hopped from one building to another, what's left of them anyways.
The Russian Army had been constantly bombarding Berlin ever since they got to the perimeter of the city, in hopes of making the German Forces to surrender and come out from their shelters. With help from the Soviet Fog, the German Army lost all means of using technology because of the proxy attacks Kirov had imposed on them. The favour that the battlecruiser asked for was to sabotage and grant entry for the Russian Special Forces; the Spetznaz.
In order to further capitulate Bismarck's regime, the Fourth Reich had to be taken down and the government based on Berlin be given to the Russian Forces. Without human support, the German battleship would be vulnerable to ground attacks as the Russians were known to be relentless when it comes to the Fleet of Fog. There were records that Russia singlehandedly destroyed a Fog Heavy Cruiser by mass assault, a combined act by the Russian Air Force and Ground Forces including the use of 2 nuclear bombs. A combination of the Tsar Bomba; the biggest bomb ever built by the Soviet Union and a pure nuclear power as the warhead; hydrogen. One of these bombs had been detonated underwater as the heavy cruiser sailed past it while another had been dropped from high altitude when the said vessel was occupied by dozens of missiles fired by the Russian Military.
With this knowledge at hand, the Russians would not hesitate to drop all the nuclear bombs onto Bismarck to confirm her destruction as a battleship had a very strong Klein Field.
That's where Arizona comes in. A chance for peace is still favourable as an option only if the enemy had the same mindset.
While the crew of the I-417 and the mental model of the vessel herself handles infiltration, things were starting to get messy in the Pacific. Iowa had transferred most of her forces to the Atlantic which left a gap for the Japanese Fog to exploit.
Nagara-class light cruisers swarmed the Pacific against the defenders, mostly standard Fog battleships like the Colorado-class and New Mexico-class and down to the New York-class battleships. But the nightmare of the US Fog came to live with the appearance of the Musashi. Due to provocations, the super battleship enters the battle herself and unleashes her fury while leading a massive fleet under her command. Yet, there was no sign of the Yamato.
2 events are happening at the same time, and this was not very appealing for Iowa as she was currently more towards capitulating Bismarck's rule. As a response force, she sent Task Force 17; a fleet consisting of several heavy cruisers, a battlecruiser, light cruisers and standard aircraft carriers- mainly the Essex-class.
The Pan-Security Force was issued a command to hold the line for the response force, this allotted Alaska to keep in touch with Taffy 17 which had her sister ship; USS Guam. Lexington can finally work with her sisters from the Essex-class while providing support. In addition, another Alaska-class battlecruiser had been stationed to meet the combined fleet. The USS Hawaii, commanding a series of Allen M. Sumner-class destroyers, Gearing-class destroyers along with Worcester-class light cruisers.
