Tyler

I am Tyler Robert Joseph and i was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1998. I have lived in Ohio my whole life, since my family is too poor to actually move somewhere else. My family owns an ice cream shop. A small ice cream parlor on the corner of 21st street. Business there has never been consistent, since right across from us is another ice cream shop owned by the Dun's. Everyone in our family works at the shop, including myself. I don't get paid, but we have the best ice cream in town. I would know, i've tried the Dun's ice cream. I go in there practically every day just to stare at Josh Dun. Josh is a beautiful and wickedly-blue-haired human. He goes to my school, well we have gone to school together as long as i can remember. He was in my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade classes. He was really shy and always sat in the back of the class. To be completely honest, he frightened me a little bit and it just put me off from ever saying anything to him. And here i am now, a senior in high school and still too afraid to say anything to him. We have 3 periods together, English, Gym, and Calculus. As expected, he's quiet in all those classes. He is really good in gym because of all his upper body strength. He is amazing drummer. I would go to all the football games to see him play, and well, all my so called friends would make me go. Half time was my favorite part of the whole game. All my "friends" only hang out with me because im the best player on the basketball team. Because of these skills i have, i've gotten a full ride college scholarship. I'd be lying if i said i loved basketball. As of late, my heart has been more drawn to the arts, like theater and music. I found an old keyboard in my closet and have been playing it like crazy just to get my feelings out into the world. So far, i am the only one in my family that actually shows potential from moving on from the ice cream shop because of basketball. My whole family loves basketball. Needless to say, they are very proud of me. They've helped me get this far. I wouldn't be here without them. It would just break them to know that i actually don't like basketball anymore. So i keep practicing. Every day after my shift at the parlor, i do 500 shots a day. Life has lately felt like im just going through the motions. So thats kinda the reason i go over to Josh's shop after school everyday. If my parents found out they would probably decapitate me with an ice cream scoop. But I just tell them I'm hanging out with the team. They are simple enough to believe me. Don't get me wrong, i love my family. They have supported me in everything i have done, even when i sang the national anthem before the start of a game. But my family is simple minded. They don't follow their dreams in fear they won't make it. I don't want to end up like them. I still have time. Its not too late. Just like it's not too late to talk to the pastel prince who works at the ice cream shop across from mine. Because i am in love with him.

Josh

My name is Joshua William Dun and I work at my family's ice cream parlor. I'm 18 and my birthday just happens to be June 18th. I was born in Columbus, Ohio in the year 1998. Growing up my family worked in the shop and I played the drums. But When I was 11, I started working and thats where I've been ever since. The ice cream parlor is cool to work at but I'd rather be drumming. There's one guy who comes in every day. I know his order off the top of my head. This guy just so happened to be the worker of the ice cream parlor across the street. Its owned by the Joseph family and has been there for as long as I can remember. Tyler Joseph was very out going and walked in like he owned the place. I am shy and get clutzy around him. We've gone to the same schools our whole lives. I've only talked to him once and it was back in fourth grade. I've always been a bit shy. And it doesn't help that tyler is beautiful. His short brown hair and brown eyes made me get butterflies like mad. Now we are in high school and I still haven't spoken to him. We have three classes together and of course he's great in them. He plays basketball and my friends make me go with them to all the games. Thats perfectly fine with me. Three hours of watching Tyler was perfect. He was a shot out basketball player and I was a quiet drummer in marching band. Seeing as I am good on the drums why not be in marching band. I've made something out of it and every football game I lead the drums. It's the best part of school other than getting to see Tyler every day. Even after school I see him. I've told my mom and she's always said go for it. But I never get the jitters out before he leaves to go to work. He just makes me so nervous, well more so than normal. To bad I can't talk to him. Our dads hate each other and we'd be just another cliché love story.
