Chapter 4

Wednesday

Tyler

My adventure with Josh last night was cut short by a worried call from his mother. I would probably freak out too if my kid wasn't home at 3 am. Was i sad that I couldn't kiss him more? Of course. But there is always today.

I pulled into my parking spot and smiled when i saw Josh's truck already in his spot. I grabbed my bag and made my way inside the building. I put my books into my locker and decided to make my way to Josh's locker.

As i turned down his hallway, i saw he was turned away from me with earbuds in. I kept walking towards him till i was right behind him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Hey Jishwa." I kissed his shoulder. He separated my hands from his waist and turned around to meet my eyes. He immediately lit up with a smile and brought me into a hug.

"Hey" he whispered back into my shirt. I held onto him tightly, making up for all those years I didn't.

"Well look who finally decided to come out of the closet." Brendon Urie. The second best basketball player on the team. He was known for being insensitive and well, my best friend. He leaned against the lockers and smirked at me.

"Fuck off bread head." I grabbed Joshs hand and started walking him to his first period.

"What? You aren't even going to introduce me to him? I thought you loved me Tyler!" Brendon shouted down the hall but i just ignored it.

"What was that all about?" Josh asked.

"Just ignore him J. He gets off on other peoples annoyance. If you don't let him get to you, he will stop bothering you." I pulled josh into a hug.

"You have me now and thats all that matters." I said as i pulled away from the hug slightly to stare into his beautiful butterscotch eyes. His faded blue hair and muscular arms wrapped around me is all i ever wanted. I gave him a soft peck on the lips before completely pulling away.

"I'll see you later J, okay?" He smiled and nodded, then made his way into class. I turned around and made my way to my first period.

"Where is he?" I muttered to myself. 2nd period started 3 minutes ago and Josh isnt here. I got up and took the bathroom pass and headed out the door.

I decided to go to his locker, peaking in some of the bathrooms on my way there just to be sure he wasn't there. As i turned into the hallway and froze in my tracks. I blinked a few times before my brain confirmed what i was seeing was true.

Josh was up against the wall of lockers while Debby was shoving her tongue down his throat. My eyes burned and all my brain did was scream. I felt my stomach knot up into a noose. Josh caught sight of me and thats when my legs started moving again. I ran down from where i came as i heard heavy footsteps and my name echoing through the long hallway.

Josh

I was walking to my 2nd period with ear buds in like always. I felt someone put their hands around my waist and I thought it was Tyler. It was the same way he greated me this morning. I smiled and went to turn around and I saw it wasnt him. I was midway through a sentence when I realised I messed up.

"Hey ty-" I was cut off by a female voice.

"Why were you going say Tyler? Are you two a thing now?" her face went from soft to hard as she finished the sentence.

"I-I don't really know I mean he kissed me last n-" yet again I was cut off by her.

"He kissed you?!" She yelled making sure anyone left in the halls could hear her.

"Debby please, we aren't even together anymore." As I finished the sentence I heard foot steps in the hall and felt debby kiss me hard. As I tried pushing her away she only kept me pinned to the lockers and shoved her tounge in my mouth. I looked around to see if i could reach anyone for help. As i looked around with the red headed leach sucking on my face, i locked eyes with Tyler. This wasn't good at all to him.
With that I pushed her away and she smirked at me.

"Why do you want to always ruin every sliver of happiness i get?!" I yelled something I never do. She looked shocked and I ran after Tyler. The sound of my shoes hitting the floor filled the halls. I hated this feeling I had.

"Tyler?" I walked around trying to find him. With no luck I sighed and leaned on a wall and pulled out my phone I called him and heard his phone in the bathroom. I walked in and saw only one door was shut. That one has to be the one he was in and thats where the ringing was coming from.

"Ty?" I looked at the stall door and waited for an answer.

"What Joshua?" He never called me by my real name. That hurt and hit me hard.

"Look I'm sorry you had to see that but I didnt kiss her. She kissed me and I pushed her away." My voice hitched as I spoke. This wasn't time for any tears or anxiety.

"Sure Josh just like my eyes are blue." The distrust hurt more than his reaction earlier.

"Tyler please." I felt like I couldn't breath. He opened the door and his face was red and tear stained. I opened my arms but he pushed past me.

"Don't touch me." He walked out of the bathroom leaving me there alone.

"Im so sorry Ty." I spoke softly as my throat began to close up from anxiety.

Tyler ignored me all day. He purposely took the long way to calculus just to avoid me.

I held in my tears and anxiety as i made my way to lunch. Tyler is going to hate me forever now. I put my head down and watched my feet as i walked.

Eventually i brought my eyes up only to see Tyler in clear view, with Brendon. Tyler was smiling a lot towards Brendon and it made me uncomfortable. I felt like a stalker just standing in the middle of the hallway watching him but my legs wouldn't move.

Suddenly, Tyler shot his eyes towards me and didn't take them off of me. Instead he put both of his hands on either side of Brendon's face and kissed him while looking directly at me.

My whole body started shaking as i watched this go on. Brendon snuck his hands down and squeezed Tyler's ass while he kissed him. I couldn't believe what i was seeing. This wasn't Tyler at all. This was a much darker presence and i did not like it at all. Just one look from him and you could be in tears.

My legs collapsed and i fell to the ground in the middle of the hallway, blocking the flow of traffic. My body shook and my breathing heightened. Nobody tried to help me up. Nobody asked if i was okay. Nobody cared. So i just laid there on the floor, every now and then accidentally getting hit by a shoe of a person who isn't watching where they are going. But it could be because I'm invisible. Nobody notices me except for Tyler, and I've ruined that.

My vision started to fade in and out until all the saw was my own reflection,
