Quinn kept Spencer close to her not wanting to lose him when walking throughout the big building. She continued to carry with her the bags and Rick had left his duffel on the roof. Quinn had offered to take Spencer's back pack but he assured her he was okay and wanted to carry it. The all walked over to where there was some railings that lead down into a 'hole', those that had flashlight aimed it downward so they could see.
"This is it? Are you sure?"
"I really scoped this place out the other times I was here. It's the only thing in the building that goes down. But I've never gone down it. Who'd want to, right?" Glenn said. They all looked to him and Glenn quickly caught onto what their look meant. Quinn didn't really like putting someone forward for doing something they didn't want to. She knew what it felt like which was why she didn't like doing it to others. "Oh" Glenn said when he caught the drift.
"We'll be right behind you" Andrea smiled.
"No, you won't. Not you" Glenn argued.
"Why not me? Think I can't?" she questioned slightly offended.
"I wasn't..." Glenn trailed off nervously.
"Speak your mind" Rick nodded.
"Look, until now I always came here by myself In and out, grab a few things No problem. The first time I bring a group. Everything goes to hell. No offense. If you want me to go down this gnarly hole, fine But only if we do it my way. It's tight down there. If I run into something and have to get out quick, I don't want you all jammed up behind me getting me killed. I'll take one person" he elaborated before turning to Rick. "Not you either. You've got Merle's gun and I've seen you shoot. I'd feel better if you were out in that store watching those doors, covering our ass. Andrea you got a gun too, you go with Rick"
"I'll go down with Glenn" Quinn said stepping forward. "I've got three guns on me and weapons that are quiet. I can kill a walker without attracting any other's that might be down there"
"What quiet weapons?" Andrea asked curiously.
Quinn reached behind and pulled out her Nagamaki showing it to them before putting it back. Then she removed the covers from the Haladie though left it attached to her hip. "Good enough for you?" she asked rhetorically as she covered them back up.
"Great, Jacqui you stay here. Something happens, yell down to us, get us back up here in a hurry" Glenn ordered her. "Morales" he said pointing to the Hispanic as he thought of what he should do.
"You watch Spencer" Quinn butted in moving him over to Morales. "Bring him up to the roof, don't let him near Merle"
"Can I sit with T-Dog?" Spencer asked looking at her.
"Yeah, you like T-Dog? Sit with him" she smiled as she left Spencer to stand beside Morales. "Take these" she said handing Morales her backpack and duffel bag. "Do not lose these. T-Dog is minding Rick's duffel, they've guns. Spencer doesn't touch them!" she instructed him.
"Okay, everybody knows their jobs" Rick said, patting Glenn on the shoulder. Glenn placed his flashlight in his mouth as he climbed down the ladder. Quinn placed a kiss on Spencer's forehead before she did the same as Glenn. Once down they began to walk through the gloomy, wet tunnel. Within there was rats squealing and the sound of water droplets hitting the ground.
Glenn walked in front while Quinn remained behind him. Both held their flashlights ahead, shinning them to guide the way. "Why did you offer to come down here? I was gonna pick Morales and leave you with your brother" Glenn asked, keeping his voice down though to a minimum.
"I'm definitely faster than Morales so there's one pro of me coming down here. Two, my weapons and he wouldn't have been allowed have them to come down. I'm very possessive over them" she explained.
