I moved my head slightly, the harsh lighting making my eyes squint, I flinched. I could hear the faint sound of beeping in the background. I opened my eyes more, and I heard a doctor.
"She's waking up! It's fading away. She needs more morphine, enough to make her unconscious."
"If we give her more she might not wake up."
"She might not walk out of this lab. The least we can do is help relieve the pain." And with that, a slight pinch in my arm and I was fading back into the darkness as I heard frantic voices in the back ground.
And as I let my self fall back into the darkness. I came to a very harsh reality, I won't be leaving this room alive.
The cancer has beaten me.
