I deliberately glance away from the boy with the incredible brown eyes that used to haunt my dreams at night. The only one I have ever loved. The only one who has ever showed me some real, genuine kindness before I even ever met Jacob. Yet now I love both.

Not only that, but Max. I have not seen my sister in years, and in all of those years, I have built up a bucket load of loathing for her wider than the Pacific Ocean. Yet, here I am... My heart beating right out of my chest(not literally), awaiting to see my big sister, Maximum Ride.

Here goes nothing. I want to take my vengeance, yet to hug her. Wrap my arms around her and cry.

He leads me out of the room to a wooden table where a two boys, two girls, and one dog, sit. At the head of the table is Max.
