It has been said that attitude is everything. You are not always in control of what happens to you, but you are always in control of how you respond. Your attitude is the only thing you get to control 100% of the time. The Bible uses the word mind to describe your attitude more often than it uses the actual word attitude. However, what you think about leads to actions and those actions lead to habits. Your habits develop your character and your character develops your future. It all starts with your attitude and your mind.
And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
(Matthew 22:37 ESV)
1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Today we don't HAVE to get baptized to be saved. Baptism shows that you are renewing your life and forgetting your old ways to follow Christ. Baptism represents how Jesus was on the cross (standing), then died (going beneath the water), and rose again (coming out of the water). Getting baptized is a symbol you want to live your life and want to show others and rejoice of your decision to follow Jesus publicly.
You don't have to get baptized but its a good way to show Jesus that you want to be bold in your faith and want to show others you love God and want to show it.
Getting baptized doesn't save you
Believing Jesus died on the cross for your sins and he rose again and asking Him to forgive you of your sins save you
By repenting your sins it shows that you know what you did was wrong and want to ask for forgiveness
Believe Jesus is real and ask him to come into your life and change your heart
I don't like thinking Christianity as religion
I think of it as a relationship with Christ
Jesus loves you and suffered a bloody horrid brutal death for you and all he asks is for you to call upon his name and believe
You cant earn salvation
Just ask and he will hear you
Its a gift but its up to you to receive it
