Chapter Five

Race's P.O.V

Nasa kalagitnaan ako nang meeting nang may tumawag sakin. Footspa! Sino bang may putok sa buho ang tumangkang tumawag sakin sa gitna nang meeting. I excused myself.

"Hello!" i started.

"KUUYYAA!" nailayo ko naman bigla ang phone ko. Geez! Stupid bratt!

"Low down your voice old lady!"

"Tsk! I'M NOT OLD YOU KAPRE!"

"Psh! Stop being childish will you? Why did you call bratt? Make sure that's important."

"Che! Kuya please! Gusto kong sum---"

"Ok! It's nonsense, bye!"

"Pero k---" then i ended the call. 

Call me rude, but she's so annoying. Di ba pwedeng sa bahay nalang namin yun pagusapan? And the heck! Araw-araw niya itong sinasabi sakin. Memorize ko nga eh! 'Kuya, gusto kung maging writer at magtrabaho sa company.' Tsk!

After the long nonsense meeting, dumiretso nako sa office ko. I put all my things on the table and decided to take a nap but then paidlip na sana ako nang biglang mag ring yung phone ko. Uuggh! Stupid bratt!

"uuggh! Ano ba bratt! Pw---"

"Race?" I was stunned when i hear her voice.

"Hello! Race are you there?" sabi niya ulit.

"Hmm! Yeah! I'm sorry i thought it's Reneese!" 

"It's okay! Ginugulo ka na naman nang kapatid mo no? " My heart flatter when i hear laugh! Damn! Ang lakas parin nang epekto niya sakin! Crush pa ba tong matatawag?

"Yeah! Araw-araw actually, so what made you called?"

"Hmm! Can i ask a favor?" she asked.

"Ow! sure what is it?" mabait kong sabi.

"Actually one of our producer here would want to produce some movie that will be a big hit this coming February, i mean next year. So nautusan nya akong maghanap nang book selling novels. Then i remember your publishing house, so pwede bang sa inyo nalang manggaling yung book?" napaisip naman ako bigla.

"You sure? Diba your cousin own the world class publishing house at dun naman kayo usually kumukuha nang mga story na mino-movie niyo? Di kaya magalit yun?" Tanong ko.
