Chapter 23
Better than revenge
Zara's POV
So it was set. Our revenge had to take place after the play.
And not only was it to be humiliating for Hannah, but also would teach her a lesson for life.
Bitter much?
Not really.
In between the final rehearsal and the show, I had managed to pull a few strings and had got to know a lot more about that girl.
And what I learnt was something I could never have dreamt of probably.
None of us had ever bothered to ponder over the reason that why would a girl randomly leave an elite private school and join our school. Until now.
People of our high school weren't the clichè gossip-digging type. They majorly followed one rule: Be nice and we will return the favour.
Exceptions were obviously there though.
Hannah had made me turn into one of those exceptions and I had digged into her past.
She had left her previous school due to some fight. A cat fight which had turned so ugly that it got Hannah expelled.
If the rumour mill was to be believed, which most of the time it shouldn't be, Hannah had her eyes set on a guy called Dave, in her previous school.
Dave was a hotshot, but at the same time, a very dedicated boyfriend to a girl called Ann, since the past two years. Hannah tried to pull them apart and win him over, but Dave & Ann had not let Hannah sabotage their relationship.
Eventually, Hannah gave into her mad streak and had tried to harm Ann physically by playing around with Ann's car. Ann's family wanted to press charges, but the school didn't want any bad publicity that the charges might have caused them.
So, they expelled Hannah and talked to Ann's family against pressing charges.
Hannah still had not apologised or ever felt any kind of regret or remorse. She was a lunatic without a straighjacket. One with murderous instincts!
I had to set her straight and away from us.
I had pulled in a few favours and made a few calls to ensure that I got my revenge in front of the entire crew and cast of the play, during the after-party.
The more, the merrier.
I could imagine myself, giving a sarcastic smile at that.
I had decided to play it safe though. I didn't want anybody's dad losing their job because of the plan, especially not Olly's. Such an amazing and fun-loving person he is.
As the plan would unfold, Hannah would regret it all and say sorry for all that she had done, but my name would never get involved.
Sweet.
