Chapter 7
Serena's POV
Mr. Gay actually could do anything for the sake of perfection in the play. Josh had texted and told me how easily he had convinced Mr. Gay to watch the video.
And now I was on my way to Mr. Gay's house where Josh was waiting for me. Our plan was to convince him that no one else suits the role of Romeo better than Oliver..simple.
Once we would have ensured that Oliver is Romeo, we would have to make sure that our Romeo & Juliet get ample practice time alone! Then they would have to talk and resolve all the mess that Oliver had supposedly created and made Zara so angry at him. But, I seriously didn't understand two things.
First, Why was Zara so angry? Like being a bit angry was acceptable but so angry with your best friend on behalf of someone whom she doesn't even know properly is plain dumb!
Second, why the hell didn't Oliver ask Zara or Josh about what he should do if he was so confused!
I understood how Olly acted like a complete douche, but that didn't mean Zara should be the same. I still couldn't believe Olly could even do something like that!
These two were a pair of morons well suited with each other. And the best part was that I happened to love Sara and really care for Oliver as well. So, the option of leaving them with their woes did not really exist for me.
Why God?! Why did you forget to give them brains!
I was completely taken aback and a bit angry at Oliver myself. Indeed, I was still processing what Sara had told me when she came over to my place for lunch after the rehearsal that day.
**flashback**
*Yesterday, after lunch in Serena's room*
Oliver is a heartbreaking assh*le was Zara's answer when I asked her why was she angry with him. That said, she burst out crying.
I really didn't know whether to console her first or to ask her why did she call him that or that why was she crying
So many possibilities clouded my mind....
I walked up to my beanie on which Zara was sitting and shushed her. Then settled down on the floor, next to her and hugged her.
After a while, she calmed down.
I finally asked what did he do to upset her so much.
In between sobs, she narrated how nearly three months back, Oliver had made a girlfriend, some family friend of his. She was a student of St. Claire Prepatory School, a private school, so obviously none of us had ever seen or met her except Zara.
After being with her for about two months, Oliver had broken up with her and had walked out without any explanation. A week later, he was pretending as if none of that had ever happened between those two.
Zara and Riley, Olly's Ex had later found out that he probably walked out on Riley because he actually was cheating on her all this while with some girl from our school.
I sat there stunned. I knew that Oliver was one of the school hotties but this was totally not expected of him. I knew him since ages! And my inner self just wasn't ready to accept what Zara had told me.
All this had enraged Zara to the core that how could Oliver could be so insensitive. How could she have misjudged him for so long.
I tried to reason with her that she was being too bitter as she hadn't talked to Oliver about it yet and was blaming him. But she was too stubborn about this for her own good.
So, I decided to comfort her for the while instead.
**end of flashback**
What I didn't understand still was that why did Oliver have to hide it from Josh and the rest..telling Zara was expected of him, but hiding so much from Josh wasn't.
I had called Josh last night to talk about it, and he said that he didn't even have a clue about all this! That is when we decided that our plan had to be executed ASAP.
It was decided that Josh would go to Mr. Gay's place in the morning, since our rehearsals were after lunch, to show him the video, and I would join him later to do the convincing part.
Now all we could do was hope that we could convince Mr. Gay.

Finally , you know why Zara was pissed ! :P
