fourty-eight.
[a day out with claire.]"No, Matt, that one is as ugly as me when I wake up in the morning, that one is nicer." The blonde had said, nose scrunched up in disgust as her finger reverted from one location to another.
"But that one is so cliché, Claire." He rolled his eyes, the arguing between them both now going back and forth for over an hour.
The blonde headed girl groaned from beside him. "But sometimes cliché is nice and is wanted."
Cocking a brow, he recited the words on the page they were both reading, "'Ferris wheel on Santa Monica pier.' Yeah, no."
Claire cringed, "Okay, maybe it's a little cliche but that doesn't mean it's not cute!"
"Ugh, Claire just tell me what she would want. You've known her for longer and know things that she likes that she wouldn't tell me."
Claire pondered for a second, trying to recall a time where Aria talked about this kinda thing. A few moments later, her face brightened as she gasped with wide eyes, smacking Matt's arm repeatedly in the process. "Oh my god!"
"Ow," Matt groaned, running his fore arm. "I would appreciate you not hitting me, Claire."
"Oh shut up and stop being a baby. Now do you want to hear this or not?"
Matt sighed. "Go ahead."
"Okay, one time when we were like, 12 and ugly, we were talking about our future plans and marriage came up, and I said I wanted a large wedding with a huge dress and all that shit, and Aria, happened to mention how she would lose her shit if somebody proposed to her publicly, in a large space with people around — like the times square or something."
Matt stared at the girl with his mouth dropped open, not believing that she only just told him this.
"What?" Claire asked confused once she saw the look on his face.
"Claire! You couldn't have told me this earlier?! It would've saved us a ton of debates and arguments!"
"Well, I'm sorry!" Her arms flailed everywhere. "I just remembered!"
Matt pinched the bridge of his nose, this proposal becoming more stressful by the second. "Okay, okay, fine. Big open space with people around, where can we find that in LA?"
"Well," Claire started. "There's Grand park, Echo park, and Macarthur park. My personal favourite is Echo park." she sighed and layed her head on her hand. "I lost my virginity there. There was like this gazeb—"
"Yeah, okay Claire I do not want to know about you doing that." Matt quickly cut her off, hands placed tightly over his ears.
Claire rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, Matt being able to catch her saying, "I can't believe Aria's in love with this baby"
"I heard that."
"Good. Now shut up. Which park are you picking?"
Matt rolled his eyes at Claire and turned back to his phone, where he had just looked up these parks. "I was going to go for Echo park, but i'll know if I see that gazebo I'm going to lose my shit and forget everything because of you."
She rolled her eyes at him, "I swear you're a man child." After she fell quiet, her face lit up again with a slight gaps. "Has Aria told you when she lost her virginity? Oh it was a mess, he—"
"Claire!" Matt interuppted her again. "Yes she's told be vaguely but I do not want to know."
"You big baby."
"Jerk."
"Bitch."
"That's Aria and I's thing. Stop."
She gasped. "Excuse me, you two cannot claim this as 'your thing' when it was Sam and Dean Winchester's thing first."
"You know what?" Matt said, getting up from the sofa. "I've decided that I don't need your help anymore. Can do well enough without y—"
"No!" She objected and stood up with him, "Nope, no you don't. I'm sorry, you're not a big baby, I'll stop bullying you. You cannot cut me out of this engagement plan, because if you cut me out i'll cut your dick off!"
Matt cocked a brow and crossed his arms, as she continued to rant. "Are you done?" He had finally said after a while.
Claire heaved a deep breath and glared at him. "Yes I am."
Matt grinned shortly after that, "Great. Because now, we're going to pick out rings."
