fifty-five.

"I really don't see why we have to go to the park now. I mean, aren't you all tired? Because I sure as hell am." The brunette girl complained for the hundredth time that night. Her, Emeraude and Katherine spent all day shopping and catching up, resulting in Aria being extremely tired. The moment they left the cafe shop where they had coffee to wake her up a bit, they sprang up with the "idea" of heading to Echo Park. "It's almost seven, it's gonna be late. Did you know that when it's late, it gets dark? Parks at night are scary, therefore we shouldn't go."

Emeraude rolled her eyes. "I swear to God Aria if you don't shut up—"

"I refuse." Aria firmly said, standing her ground.

"Well that's too bad then," Kat cut in. "Because we're going."

Aria stood silent for a minute, then audibly groaned. "Fine, whatever. But if I pass out while you're prancing around and feeding ducks, or get murdered behind the bushes, then that's your responsibility."

Kat scoffed. "Stop being so dramatic." Linking her arm with Aria's, she said, "Now come on. It's not far of a walk from here."

For a small while, the girl walked peacefully down the busy streets. In around twenty. minutes, the sun would be setting. Kat and Em purposely decided to come and meet Matt at the park at this time to add more of a scenery.

As Kay suggested repeatedly, "Nice park, water fountain, with a proposal is a tad bit boring. However, add in a sunset, and it's romantic."

Matt objected, not understanding how the sky can make much of a difference. He never quite how these pointless details like the weather, or the sky could make things romantic. But to be fair, his perfect setting was a zoo.

"So... Aria." Em started off, the tone in her voice making Aria instantly recognise what the topic of conversation was about before it even started.

She heavily sighed. "I know what this is about. And I'm not having that conversation." Aria quickened her pace and walked ahead of them.

Behind her, the two girls let out sounds of protest and hurried to catch up with her. "We were not going to ask about Matt."

Aria came to a halt and crossed her arms. With a cocked brow, she said, "Oh yeah? Well if you weren't going to talk about that then how did you know I meant the Matt situation?" Both girl's mouths were left open as they tried to think of a thoughtful response. "Exactly."

Aria stalked off again, but the pair of crazed girls caught up with her. "Okay look," Em said to her. "We just want to know why you're mad, you know? You either leave us on read when we ask or you change the conversation. And don't even think about doing that this time. You have to tell us."

Aria turned away, licking her lips. "Oh won't you look at that, we've arrived." Her pace once again quickened as she entered the park's gates.

"Aria! Seriously!" Kat said slightly annoyed. Grabbing the other girl's arm and turning around, she gave her a serious look. "Just tell us. We're your best friends."

Finally, Aria complied. "Fine. I'll tell you why I'm mad." The girls resumed their walking, as they got closer to the fountain area with each step.
