sixty.
4 YEARS ago, when Aria's best friend Claire was bored out of her mind and had suggested that they prank fake numbers in the late night hour, which resulted in Aria so innocently pranking the number, never would she have thought, that in that moment, that person would be the man she would spend the rest of her life with.
As the weeks progressed, Aria and Matt's barely existing friendship began to blossom, the forces of attraction and feelings growing stronger by the day. Slowly, with the frustration of those around them, the pair grew closer than ever, with their "Taster dates" the endless flirting, and undeniable chemistry, it was clear to everyone that they were meant to be. Eventually, the pair came together in a relationship full of nothing but adoration and caring for each other. Their love was so strong that everyone around them felt it. No one could deny that they were perfect together, and for each other.
Aria — the one whom detested the idea of meeting someone online, or internet dating, or long-distance relationships which could be a result of online relationships — would have never guessed that she would not just date someone she initially met online, but marry them.
So there, as she and her Husband sat in their back garden under the bright spring sun, with their two beautiful children playing amongst each other, she began to feel disbelieved. Disbelieved at the fact that this was her life, that this was the end result of one silly prank text.
"Can you believe this, Matt?" She voiced her thoughts to the man sitting next to her.
"Believe what, babe?"
"That this is our life." She replied which a satisfied sighed. "We have two amazing, beautiful kids, with another on the way. We're in a healthy marriage in a beautiful home with the best friends and loving families. We're happy, We're content, there is nothing in the world that could make our life any better than how it is now."
Matt sat in silence for a few moments, doing nothing but lovingly gaze at his wife with a small smile. Then, raising their entwined hands, he kissed the back of hers and wrapped his arm around Aria's waist, bringing her closer. "Life is perfect right now. isn't it?" He sighed in content and looked at his two children, one little girl and a boy, playing in their sandpit together, looking so happy and carefree. "Hopefully, it will stay like that."
And Aria really hoped that it would. Because as of now, everything; their relationship, their children, their friends, life in general, was absolutely perfect.
