Choco shifted uncomfortably in her seat. The conversation was getting too personal and she was praying for a miracle that she wouldn't get the chance to share about her childhood. Everyone seemed at ease with it and their childhood memories were so beautiful.
Kitty: I love being a single child with my single mom but sometimes I wish I had siblings.
All eyes were casted on her and some pitied her because the last sentence she'd said had been said with so much emotion, but it didn't last long when she gave them the reason she wanted siblings.
Kitty: Do you know how hard it was fangirling all alone? I mean even the friends I had were just those fangirls who saw movies and listened to music, fangirled a little then moved on with their lives when I was only just getting started.
Some laughed and others just stared at the maknae who never ceased to amaze them.
Mochi: My entire childhood is filled with memories of Sunggyu-oppa and I. Every major event in my childhood he's there.
Kookie: Hmm...Imagine what's gonna happen when you get married. He's probably gonna share the husband position with the guy you're going to marry.
Kitty: He wouldn't be sharing nothing if he's the groom.
Mochi: (laughing) Sunggyu-oppa will always be my big brother and best friend. Warning to my future husband: If you do anything funny Sunggyu-oppa will be there to handle you.
Alice: That's so cute, but can we get back to the childhood stories. Dawn it's your turn.
Dawn: This one time, my sister and I did something really crazy. I'm embarrassed to say it, but just know that it was something freaky.
Mark: What kind of memory is that if we don't know what it is?
Kitty: Hah! Freaky equals skinny dipping with Dusk.
With wide eyes, Dawn turned to look at Kitty. Just how did this little girl know her sister's name and about the skinny dipping? Wait a minute...
Dawn: Did you read my diary? For goodness sakes Kitty!
Not to ruin the moment for the others, she grabbed Kitty by the hand and began dragging her out of there to chastise and make her understand dairies were private.
Minho: I didn't know you have a sister. How come you never talk about her?
Dawn (looking over her shoulders): You have a sister and you never talk about her either.
By the time Love was finishing up a story from her childhood with a laughing Rae who could no longer sit straight, Choco was hyperventilating. Memories! She hated them. She didn't want to talk about her past.
She was clutching her left wrist with her right hand, her nails digging into her skin causing them to turn dark blue. The more childhood stories were being told, the more she unknowingly dug her nails deeper and deeper into her skin. Flashes of the times she had to stay in the hospital, all alone, with her family barely visiting, played repeatedly in her mind.
She closed her eyes; shook her head as an attempt to chase the flashes of memories away but it was futile. Her breathing became heavier and it felt like her lungs were closing up. She needed to get away.
Brownie's eyes caught a drop of blood fell as Choco walked out of the room? Is she hurt? She quickly went after her but she didn't see Choco anywhere in the hallway.
Chanyeol watched as Choco rushed in the room and with a loud thud the door shut behind her. Leaning on the door, she cupped her face in her hands.
Choco was yet to get use to the fact she was now sharing. When Hyunmoo told them, she strongly protested but the producers had gotten their way as Hyunmoo had locked all empty rooms and took the keys with him.
Chanyeol (swiftly walking over): Your wrist, what happened?
A startled Choco hid her hand behind her. Gosh, she had forgotten she now had a roommate. One could say they were the weirdest roommates. They barely spoke to each other; the only conversations they had were greetings. But here he was showing so much concern; the comprehension of the situation was yet to be clarified.
Choco: I...I'm fine.
She gulped.
Chanyeol: No you are not. (he pulled her hand from behind her and examined it) Look, you don't need to talk about it but that needs to be looked at. I will fetch some supplies from the first aid kit.
After applying some disinfectant, he gently put a bandage on the puncture.
Chanyeol: There we go. I don't know how exactly you got this wound but please be careful.
Choco (keeping her gaze on the embroidery that beautified the bedsheet): Thank you.
Chanyeol (still holding onto her hand): Park Chorong, do you not remember me?
Choco(surprised): Remember you? Other than me knowing you as Chanyeol of Exo, we only just met on Let's Sail.
Chanyeol: We met before.
Choco: Such a popular face like yours, I would have definitely remembered if I met you.
Chanyeol: We met long before I became popular. (staring into her eyes) Search your memory.
As the door closed behind her roommate who was going to dispose the use cottons and bandage wrapper, Choco was forced to take the trip she dreaded- the one down memory lane.
