ACT 1 Scene 14

A/N: The brief conversation at the beginning of this chapter was made up by me for the sole purpose of fun and should not be taken out of context or be seen as racist. I am an open minded person who strongly believe racism is very wrong. Yet I also believe, some people can be over sensitive to such things or may turn genuine questions, comments or deeds into something racist if it's said or done by someone who's not of the same race as them. Sorry to anyone who may find this offensive and the conversation in no way implies any character is racist. Every character sees all other characters as equals.

It was about midnight. They had all just completed the three movies of the Divergent series: Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant (Author: I recommend these movies if you haven't seen it already and the books too). Most of their housemates had gone to bed; it was only a handful of them still caught up in an irrational discussion.

Dawn had been bickering all through the movie about black people being dominant in Dauntless and was still going about it. Dauntless was the faction known to be dedicated to courage, bravery, toughness, and fearlessness. They were the protectors, soldiers and police.

Mingyu: "I don't know what's there to complain about. Dauntless is awesome!"

Mochi: "Okay. Dawn, if you were in that world what faction would you have loved to be a part of?"

She was only finding a way to stop Dawn's squabbling in a satisfying manner.

Dawn: haha..ha..haha Although I would have prayed to land in another faction, due to reasons best known to myself; if I was in that world, (her lips curving into an uncanny smile) Dauntless would be my pick.

She obviously wouldn't have survived Dauntless training due to her health condition.

Hime: Uh huh.

Everyone present gave her an incredulous look.

Hime (nodding; her voice monotonous): Yet you were the one complaining all through. Goodnight guys, I'm off to bed.

Love (a bit amused): If Dauntless is your choice, what exactly was upsetting you earlier?

Kitty: She wasn't upset; she was making a big deal about it. There's a difference you know.

Rae (not getting Kitty's logic): What difference? 'Cause in this case, they both mean the same thing to me.

Choco: Dawn knows she was being ridiculously unreasonable. Besides, there were black people in other factions if you noticed and Dauntless wasn't dominated by blacks. There was an almost equal combination of different race.

Dawn(admitting): I'm fully aware of that. Just like being difficult at times. (chuckling when she saw the unbelievable looks on some of the others' faces). Goodnight guys. Kitty-Kat, let's go to bed.

Kitty (complaining): I told you not to call me that.

Dawn: Are you upset or making a big deal about it?

The others laughed as Kitty stormed off; not very satisfied Dawn had used her own words to get at her.

Mochi was left alone as the rest exited. Since she wasn't sleepy, she decided to check out the kdrama channel Rae told them about. Thanks to the sweet Kyungsoo who told her she could sleep in if she wished; he would be in charge of breakfast and lunch.
