"Excuse me!" You said, shuffling past the large group of people that had exit the elevator you were going on. "Honestly... can I just get... okay." You muttered, being pushed into the corner of the tiny space.

You were late, and on your first day with a new client. Working to help modernize Steve was already done, now you were moved to his friend, The Winter Soldier.

At first he gave you a fright, something to do with the metal arm and menacing stare, did the job to make you want to jump out the window. But watching him from a distance with Steve, you couldn't deny that his smile seemed to make your heart beat a bit faster.

"Could... I just squeeze past you..." You asked, obviously being ignored, you shoved the person out the way. "Get out the way, dumbass."

Finally breaking free, you patted down your hair before swinging open the door to the conference room. Steve was there, regaining his breath from whatever joke his friend had made.

"Y/n! Hey, how are you?" Steve jumped up and greeted you with a bear hug, then pulled out a chair for you to sit in.

"I'm good, Steve, I'm doing fine." You tried not to look over at him, because you could basically feel his intense stare. "How's the modern world treating you?" You teased.

"I think I'm moving along nicely, if I do say so myself." He grinned, then shook his head. "Before I forget, this is Bucky." He looked over to his friend. "Bucky, Y/n... something you already knew." You finally met his eyes and shook his hand.

"Pleasure to meet you...er, James." You said unsure if you should call him Bucky.

Bucky rose an eyebrow at the fact that you called him his real name. "Pleasure is all mine, Y/n." He responded, you felt the heat climbing up to your face.

"Well..." Steve said suspiciously, looking inbetween both of you. "I should get going... Buck?" Steve stood up and walked towards the door.

"Steve?" Bucky finally tore his gaze off you and looked up to Steve.

"Behave." He warned, Bucky smirked.

"I'm always on my best behavior, punk." Steve sighed before walking out completely.

"Alright..." You said slowly, pulling out a folder and quickly scanning through it. "Steve didn't give me much to work with but..."

The door was slammed open and Tony marched in followed by Pepper. The seemed to be in the middle of a playful fight before Tony looked over to you.

"Oh, Y/n!" Tony looked over to Pepper with a smug look. "Told ya, anyways, Y/n I may or may not need your help."

"Tony I'm in the middle of something, I can't run off."

"Okay but what if I tell you it has something to do with Steve making the toaster catch on fire again."

You rolled your eyes and shuffled through the papers. "He literally just left the room, so it's still no. Plus I'm going to start working with James-"

"Who?" Tony asked, Bucky sighed deeply.

"Um, him?" You looked across the table and furrowed your eyebrows.

"Why did you call him that, its weird, stop it." Tony complained, Bucky scoffed.

"Its better than Robo Cop." Bucky said quietly, causing you to smile.

"Well anyways, back to me, the more important topic-" Everyone sighed collectively. "I need you to come to this party." Tony stuffed papers into your hands.

"A fundraiser? For what?" You held the paper back to Tony. "Listen, I'm in the middle of talking to James and all you're doing is being a twat."

"No listen, okay, listen." Tony looked at Pepper than back at you. "I kind of need you to come because I kind of told someone that I'll bring them a date?"
