I'm just gonna keep updating and pretend I was not gone for years on end

You closed your eyes, obviously fighting against the fact that you needed to sleep.

No, it wasn't because nightmares haunted you or that sleep wouldn't come at all.

It was because Thor had kept you up all night, telling jokes and stories that seemed much more interesting than sleep.

Oh, how you were wrong.

"Y/n?" Steve tapped your shoulder, bring you out of a daze and back to focus on the fact that you had a sandwich infront of you.

"I'm good, I'm good." You muttered, taking a huge bite of the sandwich and chewing sluggishly.

"Um, of course." Steve chuckled, then motioned towards the door. "Natasha gonna see you downstairs right... you do have training."

You sent a halfhearted wave to Steve. "I know, I know." You dropped the sandwich back onto the plate, standing up and yawning loudly.

"Long night?" Natasha asked with a smirk, walking to grab a few bottles or water.

"Real funny." You half smiled, marching to the elevator then upstairs to your room. Falling back onto your bed, you tried to ignore the sleep falling heavy on your eyes.

"Miss, I do believe your session will begin in a few."

"Oh, snap, crap." You woke up quickly, changing into more appropriate attire, you rushed downstairs.

"Y/n, how are you?" Thor asked, he seemed awake and ready, unlike your drowsy self.

"I'm great, I'm good." You responded, tossing the water bottle and bag on the bench. "Wait, where's Natasha?"

"She couldn't make it." Thor said, still grinning happily. "Everyone seemed oddly busy, so I stepped up to train you." He quickly went from happy to concerned. "If you don't mind?"

"I don't think I would ever mind." You responded mindlessly, setting up to attack Thor.

"Neither will I." He said happily, you yawned once more before running towards him.

--

"Thor, I think you broke my spine." You muttered, wincing as you sat up and looked up at him with tired eyes.

"That's a bit far-fetched." Thor helped you up, stumbling into him then moving back quickly, you hide the blush that instantly grew on your cheeks. "You seemed distracted, and weary." Thor commented, you leaned on the wall.

"What? No, I'm good, I'm fine." You groaned, now feeling twice as tired then before. Sliding down the wall and closing your eyes, you tried not to fall asleep. "I just need a break... that's all..."

"Of course, I'll be back." Right after his footsteps faded out, you passed out, falling asleep in an awkward position.

--

"Mmh?" You grumbled, adjusting your eyes to the light. "What in the h-"

"Don't panic, y/n." Thor said, he was seated in on the single couch, while you were sprawled out the bigger one. "You fell asleep, I didn't want to enter your Chambers without your permission, so here we are."

"I am so sorry." You apologize, throwing off the blanket and rubbing your eyes. "It's just that I didn't sleep much last night."

Thor shut the book that he had been observing. "That would be my fault, I did keep you up into the late hours." Thor frowned, placing the book on the table. "It's won't happen again."

"Wait, no it's not technically your fault." You argued, stand up instantly. "It's stayed up because I like hearing the stories." You awkwardly laughed. "I did enjoy your company."

Thor stood up and folded his arms. "Perhaps we should do that again, but at a time that wouldn't disrupt your sleep. Maybe, tomorrow afternoon if you aren't as busy."

You sat there with wide eyes. "As a date? Oh , oh, of course. I don't think I'm doing anything tomorrow anyways if I were I would cancel." You said in a rush, getting a toothy grin from Thor.

"Until then, I do expect that you'll be awake for this... date?" Thor chuckled, slipping out the room while you internally screamed.

"Oh my gosh." You laughed, falling back onto the makeshift bed. After pinching your self multiple times then cheering loudly, you started walking to your room.

"This reminds me of a tale my father use to tell me as a child..." Thor spoke to Steve, who sat attentively listening. You slowed your steps and peered into the room.

Thor had begun to speak but stopped when he noticed you listening with wide eyes.

"Y/n, shouldn't you be resting?" Thor asked, you chuckled and entered the room.

"Oh, Thor, sleep is for the weak."
