~Chapter 2~
*Gabriel's POV*
I stared down at Erizel as I stroked her hair lightly. She is so pretty and so bright. I can hardly stand how beautiful she is. If only that Shade character wasn't around her, I could get her to fully embrace her light side.
I love her.
I gasped as I watched her. How had I not realized it? The look I always saw in Shade's eyes and despised. It must also be in mine.
*Shade's POV*
I watched Gabriel's eyes widen in shock as I leaned against the doorway of Eri's room. Ha! He finally fell under that curse I placed on him when we first met. He thinks he's fallen for her. What a silly fool.
"Beep beep"
I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket and looked at the screen before hitting the ignore button. I'd call her back later.
"Beep beep"
I looked at my phone again. I guess I had better take this call so I hit the answer button and walked out of the room, leaving Gabriel with her. No matter how much of a goody-two-shoe he was I knew he would watch over her.
"Hello?" I spoke into the phone.
Hello Shade dearest. I just called to let you know that she'll be there by tomorrow. Remember the mission Shade.
"I don't know what you're talking about" I muttered back into the phone.
Don't think I haven't been watching you Shade. I know how you feel about my daughter. I'm just warning you, I don't have any problems with you loving her but her father might not be so happy. Just be careful. And remember, tomorrow.
"I got it boss, don't worry. And I'll be careful I promise" I said before hanging up and putting my phone back in my pocket.
I walked back into Eri's room to see her looking right at me.
"Well good morning sunshine," I said as I sat down in the other chair next to her bed.
*Erizel's POV*
"Well good morning sunshine."
I looked up to see Shade walking toward me and smiled at him before looking around.
"What happened?" I asked.
The last thing I could remember was the sound of Shade's heartbeat. I don't know what happened after that.
"Well darling you passed out against Shade after you snapped out of the darkness that was about to gobble you up" Gabriel stated matter of fact-ly.
"Oh"
I hum softly as Shade strokes my hair saying, "Don't worry about it babe, we got ya. Oh and by the way.... My sister is coming to town."
*Unknown POV*
"Go little one," Lucy said to me, "go and bring me back my daughter."
"Of course...boss."
