~Chapter 5~

*Erizel's POV*

"Mmmm," I moaned softly as I ate my pudding, watching Ember look around.

"Where are we?" She asked me.

"I told you already! We're in London, pretty much smack dab in the middle of it actually. And this," I said, waving my arm toward Prêt, "Is a food store with the absolute best pudding ever. Want to try mine?"

She pushed away the spoon I was waving in her face. "No thanks Eri."

"How come you call me Eri?"

"I thought that was your nickname. That's what Shade always referred to you as when he told me about you."

"He talked about me?" I asked curiously.

"Oh... Uh I guess I wasn't supposed to tell you that but yeah, I was always there for his reports with Lucy." She said looking kind of nervous.

"He's been reporting all my actions to my mother?!" I screamed, "Ugh that jerk! And here I thought I was more than just another assignment for him. Guess I was wrong. Look I'm going to go look around a bit; you should do the same because we'll be calling this city home for awhile."

I walked away, leaving Ember looking after me.

I can't believe it no wonder Shade was so cold to me, I really mean nothing to him. Well whatever I'm just going to find someone else then! I thought.

I ducked into Harrods and conjured up some money. I guessed I might as well go shopping for a bit, pick out some new things to wear.

I walked by a bunch of clothing racks grabbing random things and throwing them at the store employee who started trailing after me when I walked in with a bunch of money in my hand. This may take a while.

*Gabriel's POV*

"Ugh" I heard myself groan as I slowly opened my eyes. I quickly shut them again as the bright light made my head pound even harder than it was before.

"Darn, what happened?" I questioned as I pressed my hands against my temples hard.

"Well that's simple; you were foolish enough to think you could beat me in a fight. That's the difference between you and me Gab. I'm not afraid to hurt anyone, and I don't hold back. Maybe you should take a page out of my book." Shade answered me.

I opened my eyes again, this time slower, giving my eyes time to adjust and looked up at Shade. "Why would I want to hurt you? You're important to Erizel and I don't want to hurt her, so I can't hurt you, no matter how much I want to."

"Ha! Good excuse Gabriel. You just don't want to admit that you can't hurt me. And it's not like I really mean anything to her at all. Next time pick a more convincing lie," He scoffed at me.

I laughed, "Wow, you really believe that don't you? You don't see the way she looks at you? You can't tell that she cares about you? That look she gives you is the only reason why I haven't told her how I feel about her!"

"What do you mean how you feel about her?!?!" He said as he rushed toward me.

"Oh... Maybe I shouldn't have let that slip," I said as I got up and started running away.

"I didn't do anything! You do the same thing I'm doing, you care about her and aren't saying anything so if you're going to beat up anyone you should beat up yourself!" I screamed over my shoulder as I ran away. That made sense...right? I thought to myself.

"GET BACK HERE YOU BAST*RD!" I heard Shade shouting behind me.

I started running faster.

*Shade's POV*

She cares about me? No... it's not possible, Gab was just lying to me to distract me...right? And that little goody-two-shoe's likes Eri too? He's going to pay for that! I thought as I ran after him. It's not like he could have any idea about how Erizel feels. And what look? The only look she ever gives me is a glare after I've said something cruel to her.

"I'm going to get you Gabriel! No matter how far and how fast you run. I. WILL. GET. YOU," I wailed at his back.
