~Chapter 9~
*Gabriel's POV*
"Ughh," Erizel moaned as I slammed her through the house. "You bastard!" she screamed, chasing after me with a lightning bolt in her hand. She quickly dropped to the ground as the energy ball Ember threw whizzed over her head before she turned around to threw her lightning square at Ember, slamming her though another house in the abandoned village of rural Russia.
I slowly snuck up on Erizel, about to punch her in the ribs before she whipped around and round house kicked me in the face, taking me down to the ground. I moaned loudly, staring up at the sky.
"I WIN!" Erizel shouted.
"Alright, all of you pick yourselves up and come over here," she moaned.
I picked myself up and collapsed next to Erizel, listening to my sister.
"That was brutal," Ember whined as she crawled over to Erizel.
Yeah, it was. I had no idea Erizel was that good, I thought.

29 days until total Solar Eclipse
*Gabriel's POV*
Snapping my fingers I said, "Alright everyone, pull it together. After today we have 29 days to the total Solar Eclipse, so that means we have 25 days before we need to be in Garig Ganak Barlu National Park, Australia. Erizel we need to be home now!"
She motioned for us all to gather around her before flicking her wrist. All I could see was a flash of white light before we all dropped to the ground. "Ugh," I moaned, pulling up my head and looking around.
Everyone else was on the ground, aside from Erizel who was standing and snickering at all of us.
"A little warning would be nice next time!" Shade yelled at her.
"Ha! Emphasis on the word 'nice'," She air quoted.
"What was that for?" Shade questioned.
"I'll be nice to you when you start being nice to me jerk!" She said before walking away.
"I'll go after her," Ember said, following after Erizel.
*Shade's POV*
I watched Erizel walk away slowly and Ember chase after her before turning toward Gabriel.
"What was that about?" I asked him.
"You're a jerk." He said bluntly.
"What are you talking about?" I questioned him.
"You're super rude to Erizel all the time and she pretty much hates you. I mean I know I haven't been around for that long but even I can tell that there's some history between you two and some obvious tension. Why are you so harsh to her?" Gabriel chided me.
"Well... I.. lo...ve...h...er..." I mumbled.
"What?!?!" Gabriel shouted.
"I love her."
"Alright start from the beginning, how did this all happen?" Gabriel demanded.
"I was just wandering through the woods..."
-Flashback-
"Crackle crunch snap."
Leaves and twigs snapped under my feet as I wandered through the forest. Lucifer sent me up here to watch over her daughter but how in the world am I supposed to find her! I wondered.
I heard what sounded like twigs snapping and I peaked into a clearing seeing a little girl who was dancing around the table with a cake on it. She looked around disappointedly. It seemed like no one else was around.
She slipped into a close by chair dug into the cake.
The little girl waved and shouted, "Hi birdy! Will you be my friend?"
The bird squawked at the little girl and then rammed into her cake and flew off.
"Whaaa! Whaaaa!!!" the little girl sobbed.
I slowly walked up behind the sad little girl, looking down at her.
"Wh-who are you?" the little girl asked.
"I'm Shade," I answered. "Why are you crying?"
"It's my birthday and my parents aren't here and I have no cake and no friends and I hate it!" she wailed.
I held out my hand, "I'll be your friend, just take my hand."
She grasped my hand tightly. "I'm Erizel, but call me Eri, I always hated my name."
"I'm Shade, and I have a present for you," I said, pulling a cupcake that I just conjured out from behind my back.
"A cupcake!" she cheered, grabbing it and taking a bite.
"Haha I'm glad you like it," I smiled.
"This is the best birthday ever!" she said, hugging me tightly.
"I'm glad," I said, hugging her back.
I could fall for this little girl... I thought.

"Wow, you did all of that for her?" Gabriel asked, astonished.
"Yeah... I saw those tears dripping down her beautiful pale cheeks and fell for her in a heartbeat." I admitted.
"You really do love her?" Gabriel questioned me again.
"Yes. I do. I always have. I always will." I stated firmly.
"Well then you should te---"
He got cut off by Erizel yelling, "BOYS! TRAINING TIME."
Gabriel and I looked at each other before running out of the forest and stepping out into the cul-de-saq.
"What's up Erizel?" Gabriel asked.
"What do you want?" I asked, trying to sound bored.
"We're training!" Erizel said in a sing-song voice.
"Oh? And who are we going to train against?" I scoffed, working hard to sound condescending.
"Me, stupid!" she cheered.
"Ha! You? As if, we would mop the floor with you. Ember and I are trained demon assassins as well as Lucifer's right and left hand demons and Gabriel is Gods best, an Arch Angel!" I taunted, trying to get a rise out of her.
"Yes, yes you're the strongest of God and Lucifer's angels and demons I get it. But guess what?"
"What?" Gabriel, Ember, and I said at the same time.
"I'm better than all of you." she stated.
I looked over at Ember and Gabriel laughing, feeling a sinking sensation in my stomache. If I really thought about it, Eri is the daughter of Lucifer and God. She could probably kick my butt. Not that I'd admit that out loud though.
Ember somehow managed to choke out, "How can you think that's possible?"
"That's simple. I'm their daughter." she said, putting her arms out in front of her.
"Now come at me you three weaklings! You may be the best of the best but you're going up against two armies so learn to take it and learn to give!" she shouted.
I paused and stared at her for a minute. She looked.... Beautiful. I quickly ran at her, trying to distract myself. I probably should have paid more attention because she simply stepped out of the way, grabbed my shoulders and through me up in the air.
"That's the best you got?" I heard Erizel taunt Ember and Shade a block over.
I shivered slightly
"Oh this is going to be fun," Erizel chuckled softly as I ran back into the battle.
This isn't over until I say it is. Not this battle, not this war, and not this fight between her and I.
